The standard bowl for the vacm filter is made of polycarbonate. Do not se in an environment where they are exposed to or come in contact with organic solvents, chemicals, ctting oil, synthetic oil, alkali, and thread lock soltions. Effects of atmosphere of organic solvents and chemicals, and where these elements are likely to adhere to the eqipment. Replace the element every years or when the pressre drop becomes kpa, whichever comes first, to prevent damage to the element.. Perform periodic inspection, cleaning and replacement of the filter element. 3. When a filter element is sed repeatedly, clean it with air blow or wash it with a netral detergent. (For μm, For μm) Check the condition of the element and replace the element with a new one when the specifications are not satisfied.. Filter element may peel off the mesh. Do not apply excessive force to the mesh. 5. Drainage shold be discharged before it reaches the pper limit. If drainage flows ot to the otlet side, it can case malfnction. Frthermore, when drainage is to be discharged or the element replaced, first confirm that all eqipment etc is stopped, and retrn the interior of the bowl to atmospheric pressre before proceeding. Cation Monting / djstment 1. When the bowl is installed on the FJ3 or FJ, install it so that the lock btton lines p to the groove of the front (or the back) of the body to avoid drop or damage of the bowl. Lock btton. The prodcts mst be installed vertically with the bowl downward. There shold be adeqate space for monting and removing of the bowl. Refer to the Dimensions section of each part for necessary space.

When piping is being installed, connect IN for work side and OUT for ejector. Incorrect connections may case malfnction. IN side Pad Piping 1. To screw a piping material into a component, tighten with the recommended tightening torqe while holding the female thread side. If the tightening torqe is not enogh, looseness and seal failre can occr. On the other hand, excess tightening torqe can case damage to the threads. Frthermore, tightening withot holding the female thread side can case damage de to the excess force that is applied directly to the piping bracket. Recommended Tightening Torqe Connection thread Proper tightening torqe [N m] 1/ 7 to 9 1/ to 1 3/ to 1/ to 3. Before sing an SMC fitting and S copler, please refer to "Tightening the threaded portion of the connection thread" of the Fittings & Tbing Precations. 3. Piping materials withot flexibility sch as steel tbe piping, are prone to be effected by excess moment load and vibration from the piping side. Use flexible tbing in between to avoid sch an effect. Cation OUT side Vacm filter 1. Preparation before piping To ejector. Operation Manal Install the prodcts and operate them only after reading the Operation Manal careflly and nderstanding its contents. lso, keep the manal where it can be referred to as necessary. Before piping is connected, it shold be thoroghly blown ot with air (flshing) or washed to remove chips, ctting oil and other debris from inside the pipe. Cation Piping. Winding of sealant tape When screwing piping or fittings into ports, ensre that chips from the pipe threads or sealing material do not enter the valve. lso, if sealant tape is sed, leave 1.5 to thread ridges exposed at the end of the threads. 3. Piping to prodcts When piping to a prodct, refer to the Operation Manal to avoid mistakes regarding the IN/OUT port. 1. Type of flids Operating Environment 1. Do not se in an atmosphere having corrosive gases, chemicals, sea water, water, water vapor, or where there is direct contact with any of these. Refer to each drawing on the material of the FJ.. Do not expose the prodct to direct snlight for an extended period of time. 3. Do not se in a place sbject to heavy vibration and/or shock.. Do not mont the prodct in locations where it is exposed to radiant heat. ir Spply Please conslt with SMC when sing the prodct in applications other than compressed air. Cation 1. Ensre that the flid and ambient temperatre are within the specified range. When sing at low temperatres, drain or moistre cold solidify or freeze, casing damage to the seals and eqipment malfnction. Therefore, take appropriate measres to prevent freezing. For compressed air qality, refer to ir Preparation Eqipment Selection Gide (Best Pnematics No. ). Maintenance Expose approx. threads Winding direction Sealant tape 1. Perform periodical inspections to detect any cracks, scratches, or other deterioration of the transparent resin bowl. Replace with a new bowl when any kind of deterioration is fond. Otherwise, damage may occr.. Perform periodical inspections to detect dirt on the transparent resin bowl.
