4 2. INSTALLATION DAVISLIM scale cmes factry cnfigured accrding t the vltage f each cuntry and is ready fr peratin immediately after unpacking. Cnnect the device t the pwer supply via the pwer supply cable. It is necessary that the utlet is prvided with grunding. Adapters shuld nt be used withut grunding LOCATION AND SETTING Set the equipment in a place flat and level, where it is perfectly supprted. This last pint is f vital imprtance t prper peratin. Make sure that within a radius f 70 cm arund the equipment there is n interference that might affect the measurement f height STARTUP Cnnect the equipment t the pwer supply. Check that n bjects are placed n the platfrm f the equipment. Actuate the switch n the bttm. At this pint the equipment will perfrm the prcess f self-test. Step away frm the equipment t nt interfere in the prcess f aut-zer f the systems f weight and height. If the prcess f self-test cmpletes successfully, the screen displays the price f the service and the current time. 3

5 3. OPERATION After the equipment startup appears the hme screen. This means that the scale has dne the calibratin successfully and is ready fr use. INSERT 0,20 12:00:21 Hme screen 3.1. PRICES On the hme screen appear the price infrmatin fr the service (see Price prgramming) and the current time (see Clck setting). Upn reaching the prgrammed price by inserting cins r using a chip card, the service is activated autmatically withut pressing any key Using chip cards The main use f the chip card is as prepayment system and strage f the results frm the measurements that the user perfrms n the equipment. In ne part f the chip card s memry is stred the credit and number f the equipment where the card belngs and n anther part is stred the last 10 measurements f weight and bld pressure with the date n which they were made. The card is fr persnal and individual use, since it stres data frm the last 10 measurements f weight and bld pressure. When the card runs ut f memry space fr the 10 measurements, it deletes the first, s yu always have the mst recent 10. Operatin By intrducing the chip card, appears a screen indicating its credit. If the card credit is higher than the price f the prgrammed service, at the tp f the screen is displayed the current credit f the card and the measurement prcess starts autmatically. DAVISLIM subtracts the crrespnding amunt int the chip card. Buy credit If yur credit is less than the minimum price f the service, the fllwing screen appears t us t buy mre credit. INSERT COINS By cnfirming the charge we can intrduce the cins t increase ur credit. The accumulated amunt is displayed. YOU HAVE: 01,00 Once we have inserted the desired amunt, after a few secnds the screen tells us that we can cllect the card. The credit has been recrded already in ur card WEIGHT AND HEIGHT Befre starting the measurement, appear n-screen instructins fr the crrect psture we must take (step up t the platfrm, stand straight). After a few secnds, the measurement is carried ut autmatically. 4

6 IMPORTANT: By failure t fllw directins, the measurement result culd be altered. At the end f the measurement, the result values are displayed. 68,200 kg 1,71 m Using the baby scale accessry Preparatin and precautins Raise the cradle f the baby scale Befre placing the baby in the cradle, press it with yur hand t ensure that it has been blcked While weighing the baby, watch his mvements t prevent him falling frm the cradle Measurement T weigh the baby, use the measurement ptin "Weight and height" as yu wuld with an adult. The equipment detects that it is a weight belw 15 kg, understands that we are weighing a baby then: The divisins are 10 g Only measures the weight, des nt measure the height Overrides the prcess f measuring the bdy fat Gives us a baby scale ticket The baby scale ticket cntains a table f weights accrding t age and cmplexins ranging frm 0 t 24 mnths ld and is divided int 3 sizes: small, medium and large. It is divided by sex and always shws the 3 mnths which crrespnd t the weight f ur baby PRINTED RESULTS Upn cmpletin f the selected measurements, the equipment autmatically prints a receipt with the btained results including the recmmended values fr each measurement perfrmed. 5

7 4. SETUP 4.1. ACCOUNTING T issue an accunting ticket fr the equipment: Access the maintenance dr used fr the paper rll change (see 1. Descriptin # 6) Press the black buttn that is lcated amng the internal wiring f the equipment When yu press the buttn, the printer will issue three cpies f a ticket with the accunting f the equipment 4.2. PROGRAMMING T prceed t prgramming, we need the prgramming keypad that is supplied with yur equipment. With the equipment swiched ff, cnnect the keypad t the CON1 cnnectr as shwn in the Figure. When starting up the equipment, it will begin with an auttest sequence and will display the fllwing message : DAVI & CIA WAIT CON1 After abut 5 secnds the equipment starts t emit 4 "beeps". Right then, press the cde "1111" (crrespnding t the user menu) using the cmputer keypad. 1> CLOCK 2> PRICES 6> By pressing <6> appears the fllwing screen: 1> TICKET 6> The ptins that are accessed thrugh the user menu are: CLOCK Clck setting PRICES Price prgramming TICKET Prgramming the ticket T exit the prgramming menu, press <STOP>. Prgramming keypad Keypad peratin Prgramming is dne using the main keypad, whse keys have multiple functins, numbers and letters. Pressing mre than nce a number key, makes appear the varius prgrammed characters (press the key nce displays the first character, fr the fllwing characters press mre times until the desired character appears). 6

8 Clck setting If yu select the CLOCK ptin, the display shws the fllwing message: DD/MM/YY _ Where DD/MM/YY tells us in which frmat we must enter the new date. Intrduce the data using the alphanumeric keypad: day, mnth and year in that rder with tw digits fr each input. If we want t enter March 23, 2007, type ut After entering the date, the screen displays the fllwing message: HH:MM _ Where HH:MM indicates the frmat in which we must enter the new time. Intrduce the data using the alphanumeric keypad, first hur and then the minutes, in 24-hur frmat. If we want t enter the 3:35 pm, type ut Upn cmpletin, it shws the entered data: Press <START> t cnfirm. 23/03/09 15:35: Price prgramming Using this ptin, yu can set the pricing fr the service. If yu select the ptin PRICES, the screen displays the fllwing message: T set the price f the service, press <1>: 1> PESO, ALTURA 4> GRATIS PRICES PRICE = --,-- Use the keypad t intrduce the value f the desired price, in the frmat indicated. Upn cmpletin, press <START> fr cnfirmatin Prgramming the ticket If yu select the TICKET ptin, the display shws the fllwing message: Prgramming the ticket lines 1> TICKET 2> BARCODE T prgram the ticket frmat and text press <1>. The fllwing screen appears: 1> TICKET CLASS 2> PROGRAM 7

9 The ptins that are accessible thrugh the menu are: TICKET CLASS We can select the type f ticket that we want t print. Standard Reduced: Fr each measurement, shws the ideal value accrding t the result, but mits the cmplete tables f values and theirexplanatin. PROGRAM Prgramming the ticket lines We have 30 ticket lines t prgram, 5 in the header and 25 n the bttm. We have 4 pssible character types as the fllwing: Cde Sample 0 Nrmal Character Type 1 Vertically expanded 2 Hrizntally expanded 3 Dubly expanded If yu select the PROGRAM ptin, the display shws the fllwing message: LINE = _ TYPE = Intrduce the value f line number and the type f character, the display shws: L01/01>>_ PHARM_ We intrduce the data that will appear in the selected line with the alphanumeric keypad. When finished, press <START> t cnfirm the data. The screen displays the infrmatin f: Line number, clumn and character set fr the pressed key. NOTE: T enter a blank line is necessary t prgram at least ne character f the line as "space". T delete a line simply enter the line and press <START> withut prgramming any character. Prgramming a barcde T add a barcde n the bttm f the ticket, press <1>. The fllwing screen appears: 1> LINE NUMBER 2> CODE Press <1> t enter the line number at the bttm f the ticket where we want t display the barcde. Enter the value using the keypad (line between 7 and 20), then press START t cnfirm. Press <2> and use the keypad t intrduce the 12-digit barcde. Press START t cnfirm. 8

10 5. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING The nly maintenance that can be perfrmed by unqualified persnnel is the change f paper rll. D nt perfrm repairs n yur wn. In case f breakdwn cntact the Technical Supprt Service. If the pwer cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the Technical Supprt Service r qualified persnnel in rder t avid dangerus malfunctining. T ensure accurate results, the equipment DAVISLIM requires es an annual maintenance check that nly authrized persnnel frm the Davi & Cia Technical Supprt Service can perfrm. Clean the unit using nly a sft clth. D nt use gasline r any similar slvent PAPER ROLL CHANGE When the DAVISLIM runs ut f paper, it stps wrking and the fllwing message is displayed: T change the paper rll: OUT OF ORDER PRINTER Switch ff the equipment Open the dr t access the printer (see 1. Descriptin - #6), the printer is inside at the tp. 1. Place the paper rll 2. Lift the cutter cver 3. Raise the lever 9

11 4. Insert the paper thrugh the rller accrding t Figure 5. Make sure the paper is straight and in the centre 6. Lwer the lever 7. Insert the paper thrugh the cutter as in the Figure 8. Clse the cver 9. Cut ff the piece f paper sticking ut 10. Switch n the equipment 5.2. EQUIPMENT DISPOSAL All electrical and electrnic prducts shuld be dispsed f separately frm the municipal waste stream via designated cllectin facilities appinted by the gvernment r the lcal authrities. This crssed-ut wheeled bin symbl n the prduct means the prduct is cvered by the Eurpean Directive 2002/96/EC. The crrect dispsal and separate cllectin f the equipment will help prevent ptential negative cnsequences fr the envirnment and human health. It is a precnditin fr reuse and recycling f used electrical and electrnic equipment. 10

14 8. WARRANTY CERTIFICATE We prvide a 1-year guarantee frm the date f purchase. The guarantee cvers manufacturing defects r defects ccurring as a result f nrmal use and peratin. It excludes all remvable parts such as batteries, wires, pwer supply devices, etc. Faults falling within the guarantee perid shall be rectified free f charge upn presentatin f the purchase receipt fr the appliance. N ther rights can be taken int cnsideratin. Return shipment is at the custmer's expense if the appliance is anywhere ther than at the custmer's headquarters. In the event f damage during shipment, guarantee rights will be granted nly if the appliance is shipped in the riginal packaging. Yu are therefre recmmended t keep the riginal packaging.
