3 Stations Station 1 Process Learning Factory CiP, Darmstadt The Process Learning factory is a Centre of excellence for Lean Production and Industry 4.0 / smart industry. It offers training based on real products manufactured in a real production environment and aims on understanding of methods and their deepening in practice. The factory allows comparison of production systems and production organization. A lot of companies from different sectors see the relevance of this topic and support the CiP as partners, like Continental, Bosch, SEW, Merck, Alstom and others. The participants will be shown around the factory. Afterwards a light dinner is offered. 4 Station 2 Pirelli Deutschland GmbH, Breuberg Pirelli is one of the biggest manufacturers of tyres in the world and one of the market leaders in the premium sector. Pirelli Deutschland GmbH is the main production and development centre for tyres in the high- and ultra-high-performance areas. In Breuberg the participants see the production facilities and learn more about the Pirelli Deutschland GmbH and their activities in Breuberg. 5 Station 3 Bernhard Koziol GmbH & Co., Erbach Koziol says of itself that they do not only manufacture goods, but produce emotion. The family-led company produces award-winning hands-on art or household and office products with a special design appeal made from plastic by injection molding. More than 60% of these goods are exported to destinations in more than 50 countries worldwide. Starting the stay with a warm lunch at the Glueckskantine (ger. Glueck = Happiness), the participants of the tour will be shown around the koziol museum, portraying the history and development of the company and also get a look at the production facilities of Koziol. 6 Information for transfers to Darmstadt on September 16 th 2016 Information on the local transport system between Frankfurt and Darmstadt Main station can be found on: For start please enter the public transport station closest to your hotel. Your destination is Darmstadt Hbf. For example, the S-Bahn line S3 regularly goes between Bad Soden and Darmstadt, and also stops at the fairground and the Frankfurt main station. There is a connection arriving at Darmstadt at 07:55 and one at 8:25 which may be convenient.
