1 Concurrent Technical Forums / Conference SAE China 2005 Congress & International Conference on the Development of China Auto Parts Industry Background Automobile changes the world and human traditional lifestyle. The development of automotive products has become one of the trademarks to reflect the country s cultural, industrial and technological level. The automotive industry has a rising impact on the world s economy. China s automotive industry has a history of over 50 years since 1953, and it has become one of the pillar industries of China. Being the fastest growing market, China automotive industry attracts world s attention by its annual automobile production of 4.44 million units in 2003, which make it the 4 th largest vehicle manufacturing country in the world. To facilitate the exchange of technology and information between overseas and local professionals, The SAE China 2005 Congress & The International Conference on China Auto Parts Industry Development will be concurrently held with The International Exhibition on Auto Parts & Accessories (Auto Parts Shanghai 2005) and The International Exhibition on Auto Manufacturing (Auto Manufacturing Shanghai 2005) from 6 8 December 2005 in Shanghai. The congress gathers the supports from China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF), FAW Group Corporation, Dongfeng Motor Group, Shanghai Automotive Group and China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATARC). A series of activities will be held, which include technical reports, seminars, conferences, exhibitions and enterprise visit etc. The China Automotive Industry Technology Award will be presented during the opening ceremony of The SAE China 2005 Congress. The SAE China Council Meeting and the Annual General Meeting will also be held during the congress. The SAE China 2005 Congress will be the pageantry in the industry with industry experts, professionals and academics all gather under the same roof.
