1 Martin Röthig Tendō-ryū seminar 2017 Dear naginata-ka, it is a great pleasure to annouce a Tendō-ryū seminar in Wiesbaden, Germany. The seminar is open to all levels of skill. Even beginners may participate. You only need to bring your own Naginata (or tachi, respectively). 3 Directions: How to reach Wiesbaden BY AIRPLANE: Destination: Frankfurt Airport (Frankfurt am Main, International Airport FRA) You can travel from Frankfurt Airport to Wiesbaden main train station (Wiesbaden Hbf.) by train very easily. Depending on the connection it takes about 35 to 40 minutes to reach Wiesbaden. BY TRAIN: There are several train stations in Wiesbaden. When you need to travel to our venue or the city centre, choose the main station (Wiesbaden Hbf.). You can take a bus from there to reach your destination. BY CAR: You should be able to find the venue easily using a navigation system. However, not all systems will be able to identify the name of the sports hall. So please use the address instead: Klarenthaler Str. 28 Travelling between Wiesbaden Hbf. and the Tendō-ryū venue: WALKING: You can reach the sports hall for the Tendō-ryū seminar from Wiesbaden main train station by just walking there. The distance is a about 2 kilometers. BY BUS: If you prefer to take a bus, use bus line 14: direction Wiesbaden Klarenthal/Geschwister-Scholl-Str. leave at bus stop Elsässer Platz. The trip takes about 12 minutes and the bus leaves at 10-minute intervals near the main train station. Travelling between Wiesbaden and Mainz: BY TRAIN: It is easy to travel by train between Mainz and Wiesbaden. Depending on the connection it takes about 15 minutes to reach Wiesbaden main train station / Mainz main train station. Mainz Hbf. Mainz Hbf.: S8 (directions: Frankfurt, Offenbach Ost, or Hanau) RB (direction: Aschaffenburg) RE (directions: Frankfurt, or Aschaffenburg) BY BUS: It is possible to travel between Mainz and Wiesbaden by bus. But we do not recommend this except everything else fails. The trip takes comparatively long and the busses are often late. BY CAR: There are two car bridges connecting Wiesbaden and Mainz. You can reach our venue from both bridges about equally fast (10 Minutes ride, depending on the traffic). This means that you can choose the bridge you are planning to cross according to which one is nearer to your position in Mainz. Tip: Keep in mind that there is a lot of one-way traffic routing in Wiesbaden. This, however, should not be a problem if you stick to the bigger roads. Most of those serve both directions. Parking in Wiesbaden: FOR THE SEMINAR Some space will be provided on the court of the sports hall. It should be enough space for approximately 15 to 20 cars. This space will be exclusively reserved for participants of the seminar. In case all seminar parking lots are used up, you should look out for parking lots around the hall with a cost. In most cases there will be a cheaper day s fee, apart from rather high shortterm fees. Note: There is a big parking space across the street, but although parking there is free of charge, it is limited to a period of two hours and you will be towed away afterwards. FOR GOING OUT/SIGHTSEEING IN THE CITY CENTER parking garage at the theater address: Parkstraße 0,50 Euro / 15 minutes This is for short-term parking. For long-term parking (5 hours or more) each additional hour will be at 1 Euro only.
