The Alps and Lakes motorcycle tour takes you through a beautiful part of the European motorcycle paradise the Alps. The contrast between the beautiful lakes in Southern Germany and Austria and the towering mountains that reach up to more than 10,000 ft. are just breath-taking. This area is the famous setting for the movie Sound of Music. The vacation offers a little bit of everything: beautiful and relaxing rides through valleys, some mountain roads and passes and great vistas and sights, including King Ludwig s palace, Herrenchiemsee, and the historic city of Salzburg. This 5 day tour offers a rest day in Kaprun, which is a great opportunity to explore the surrounding area, ride around the countryside, walk through town, meet locals and sample some of the local food. I found several tours fitting my needs for my first trip outside my country and I remember all the questions and fears I had all of which were answered and addressed by e- mails with love and care.
