Delta 116 flies non-stop from Atlanta (ATL) directly to Stuttgart (STR). If you arrive in Frankfurt (FRA), the best way to get to Stuttgart is to take the train directly from the Arrivals Terminal in FRA to the Stuttgarter Hauptbahnhof Station it s a little over an hour ride. 2 Day 1: Tuesday, September 24 th Depart North America Depart from home for your overnight flight to Europe. Day 2: Wednesday, September 25 th Arrival in Stuttgart and Ludwigsburg Palace Tour Upon arrival in Stuttgart, you will be met at the airport and transferred to our hotel, the Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin Hotel. On the other hand, if you arrive in Frankfurt (FRA), which maybe more convenient for guests west of the Mississippi, the best way to get to Stuttgart is to take the train directly from the Arrivals Terminal in FRA to the Stuttgarter Hauptbahnhof it s a little over an hour ride. The Hotel Graf Zeppelin is directly across the street. Our staff will be happy to arrange your flights and trains. After you check in, we will meet for a Driver s Briefing and Welcome Luncheon in one of the hotel s restaurants. We will complete the PORSCHE car rental paperwork before lunch. Enjoy a good night s rest. After lunch, we will depart in the early afternoon for a tour of the beautiful Ludwigsburg Castle including its gorgeous gardens. 3 Day 3: Thursday, September 26 th - Drive to Lindau via Rothenburg (~395 kms) Enjoy an opulent breakfast at the Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin. Please check out and leave any large luggage at the front desk, they will hold it for you until we return. Your PORSCHE has space for a large carry on and a small backpack. Your PORSCHES will be lined up in a nearby garage. We will introduce you to your PORSCHE, including familiarization with the PDK Transmission, the Navigation Systems, the essential rules of the Autobahn and the various routes to be driven. We will depart in our PORSCHES and drive to Rothenburg a touristy, but charming medieval walled village. There we will stop to have lunch at the Reichsküchenmeister and have a little time to explore and shopping. After lunch, we will then head to Lindau, a quaint island town on beautiful Lake Constance (or the Bodensee in German). Once we arrive, we will check-in to the 5-star Hotel Bayerischer Hof. 4 Day 4: Friday, September 27 th Free Day in Charming Lindau (No Driving) Breakfast is included at the Bayerischer Hof. Due to many requests, we have incorporated a free day where you can choose to take a boat tour of Lake Constance, book a Zeppelin Flight over the lake, or enjoy the shops and charming town of Lindau. 5 Day 5: Saturday, September 28 th Drive to Vitznau, Switzerland (~190 kms) Today, after breakfast, the group will depart Lindau into Switzerland. Your PORSCHE will take you into the Alps and with spectacular views of some of Europe s most beautiful mountain ranges. Along the way, we will stop for a light lunch at the Hotel Römerturm overlooking the Walen See ( Lake Walen). After our lunch, the group will drive to Vitznau, Switzerland to check into your Junior Suites and have an opportunity to relax. Dinner and drinks are served at the 5-star Parkhotel Vitznau tonight. 6 Day 6: Sunday, September 29 th Pass-hopping in the Alps! (~250 kms) Enjoy a delicious breakfast overlooking the lake at Parkhotel Vitznau. We depart in our PORSCHES for a challenging day of driving in the Alps driving across the famous Furkapass and Grimsel Pass. We will stop for lunch at Grimsel Hospiz overlooking the Alpine Grimsel Lake. After lunch, we will master the challenging Susten Pass before returning to our hotel, your 5-star Residence Parkhotel Vitznau. Enjoy another delightful dinner at the hotel tonight. 7 Day 7: Monday, September 30 th Drive to Mulhouse, France Visit Schlumpf Collection (~248 kms) Enjoy another breakfast at the Parkhotel Vitznau before checking out. In the morning, we will depart for Mulhouse, France, where you will have time to explore the world s largest private auto collection with a fascinating history. A textile tycoon amassed the collection in the 1960s. Unfortunately, for the Schlumpf Brothers, the textile industry declined and they ultimately lost the collection. Since the late 1970s, the collection was auctioned off for a total of 69 million Francs, switching ownership several times. Afterwards, we will continue our way to the beautiful Black Forest in Germany stopping for lunch at the Romantik Hotel Spielweg for lunch. You will check into the 5-Star Parkhotel Adler. 8 Day 8: Tuesday, October 1 st Drive Back to Stuttgart Return PORSCHES (~170 kms) Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the Hotel Adler before checking out of the hotel. Today we will return to Stuttgart, enjoying another wonderful run on the Autobahn north towards Stuttgart. Unfortunately, you must return the PORSCHE you fell in love with in Stuttgart. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to enjoy. Tonight we ll enjoy dinner at the Restaurant Amici. 9 Day 9: Wednesday, October 2 nd PORSCHE Factory and Museum Oktoberfest! After breakfast, we will transfer to Zuffenhausen PORSCHE Zentrum for a guided tour of the PORSCHE Museum. For those who have been there or prefer not to visit the Factory, we have an optional tour to the impressive Baroque Castle Ludwigsburg, or you can ask us to remove the last day of the tour for a discount. We will have lunch at the PORSCHE Museum, the Boxenstop Restaurant. In the late afternoon, we will transfer to THE most fabulous Oktoberfest. Enjoy lots of beer, food, music and revelry in our private reserved section. This event is hard to describe You ll witness 5,000 Germans dancing on tables singing Take Me Home Country Road! 10 Day 10: Thursday, October 3 rd Return to North America or Continue in Europe Enjoy another opulent breakfast at the Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin. If you are departing for North America, you will be transferred to the Stuttgart Airport for your return flight! Have a safe flight back home! 11 2019 The Fall Ultimate Price $12,898 per person, based on two persons per room and PORSCHE. NOTE! PORSCHE base rental (including 200 kms/day for a total of 1,400 kms for 7 driving days) and gasoline (at $8.75/gal.) are included as are all meals per itinerary, fabulous hotels, multi-lingual guides, walkie-talkies, and insurance (except the 2,500 deductible for any damage). You may purchase CDW insurance for 175 that reduces your personal damage assessment to 1,000 maximum. It is imperative that you inspect your 2019 PORSCHE for any damage prior to your taking possession of the car and register it with the representative of the rental company present. Additional kilometers at 1/km, which we estimate currently at 0 kms over the first 1,400 kms are included for this trip, and traffic fines, if any, are required to be charged to your credit card or billed to you by the PORSCHE rental company AVIS. At current Euro-Dollar exchange rates, we estimate the cost of the Additional 200 Kilometers to be approximately $250 per PORSCHE. Of course, that amount will increase if we are required to alter the routing due to traffic, weather or local events. Be sure to take a picture of the odometer of your rental PORSCHE when you take possession and again when you return it on the last driving day, so that there cannot be a dispute as to damage liability. If you wish for additional room nights in Stuttgart, we will make the reservation for you at the group rate. If you prefer a single room, there is a single supplement of $2,388. If you prefer to drive a PORSCHE alone, there is a surcharge of $2,612. We can reserve additional PORSCHE rentals through our full- service travel division.
