1 Mark your calendar for two days of exciting rides that incorporate the sights of Virginia On Saturday October 20 th, we ll depart Richmond and travel through the Center of the Universe as we head west to the Blue Ridge Mountains. We ll experience Main Street USA as we pass through a number of towns, including Louisa, Gordonsville, Stanardsville, Staunton, Waynesboro, Scottsville and Goochland. We ll travel roads used by Presidents James Madison, Thomas Jefferson and Woodrow Wilson. Currently planned stops include Early Mountain Vineyards, Shenandoah Harley-Davidson and downtown Scottsville. This route is approximately 270 miles or 6.5 hours of riding time. On Sunday October 21 st, we ll depart Richmond and take a scenic ride eastward through historic plantations as we make our way to the Historic Triangle. We ll step back in time as we travel the Colonial Parkway from Jamestown to Colonial Williamsburg and Yorktown. After crossing the James River, we ll pass through the quaint town of Smithfield, home of Smithfield hams, then make our way back to Hopewell and Richmond. Currently planned stops include the Jamestown Settlement, Colonial Williamsburg, Pierce s Pitt Bar-B-Que, the Yorktown waterfront, and Smithfield. The route is just over 200 miles or approximately 5.5 hours of riding time. You may choose to participate both days, or on Saturday or Sunday only. A commemorative tee shirt is included in the registration fee. Please register early so we can make necessary arrangements for the ride. Registration submitted by September 14, 2018, will receive one Bob Fowler Motorcycle Ride Commemorative T-shirt. Final registration deadline (no T-shirt) is Friday, October 12. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are flying into Richmond International Airport and are renting a bike, you need to be in Richmond by 12:00 (noon) on Friday, October 19, 2018, so that we can transport you to Eagle Patriot Harley Davidson to pick up your bike. 4 Waiver of Negligence and Complete Release of Liability International Code Council 14 th Annual Bob Fowler Motorcycle Ride Saturday October20, 2018 & Sunday October 21, 2018 Richmond, VA I, (Name of Rider) and (Name of Passenger) have agreed to participate in the International Code Council s 14th Annual Bob Fowler Motorcycle Ride activities on October 20 and 21, My participation in the Motorcycle Ride is wholly voluntary and I am aware of the dangers and risks to my person and property inherent to, and involved in participating in the Motorcycle Ride. In consideration of participating in the Motorcycle Ride, I, individually and on behalf of my heirs, assigns and legal representatives, hereby release and hold harmless the International Code Council, their staff, employees, and other participants (collectively, the Releasees ) from any liability or claims for damages for death, personal injury or property damage, including but not limited to medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, attorney fees and court costs, which accrue to me as a result of my participation in the Motorcycle Ride and were caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the Releasees. Rider and Passenger also agree to indemnify, defend and hold the International Code Council, their staff, employees, and other participants harmless from: Any and all loss, cost, claim, expense, cause of action, loss of use and liability by reason of injury (including death) to persons or damage to property arising out of the Rider s and Passenger s participation in the Motorcycle Ride, whether covered by insurance or not, including, but not limited to, claims in excess of insurance limits and all claims determined not to be covered by insurance irrespective of whom, among Rider and Passenger or their insurance carrier or others, may be the cause of any and all loss, cost, claim, expense, cause of action, loss of use and liability by reason of injury (including death) to persons or damage to property arising out of the Rider s and Passenger s participation in the Motorcycle Ride.
