3 GENERAL NOTES Situation Scotland Farm lies only 2 miles from the A6 and approximately 4 miles from the M1 at Junction 24. From Junction 24 M1/A50 Confluence pick up the A6 signed to Loughborough and Kegworth. On entering Kegworth at the first traffic lights bear immediately left into Sideley signed for Sutton Bonington and Kingston. Continue on 1/3 mile through the village past the Ancor Public House and over the river bridge and take the first right signed for Sutton Bonington. Follow this road through and travel over the railway bridge to the first crossroads and travel straight over onto Melton Lane signed for West Leake. The farm drive lies on the left after approximately 1/3 mile (in the bottom of the dip). From the A6006 Zouch to Melton Road at Normington Hills take Trowel Lane signed for West Leake. Travel down the lane for approximately 1 mile and around the left sweeping bend passing the Star Inn Public House on the right. The farm drive for Scotland Farm lies on the right in the dip after ¾ mile. To the Sale and Car Park signs will be erected on the morning of the sale. Please refer to the location map within the catalogue. Car Park - As sign posted on the sale day. 5 FOREWORD The dispersal at Scotland Farm arises as a result of the Fear family deciding to rationalise all their farming activities and focus on their core business of manufacturing cider. The family have been on the holding for some time and have an excellent range of grassland machinery, tractors, telehandler etc. together with the Pedigree Shropshire and commercial sheep flock. There is a superb range of livestock items particularly for sheep and pigs including galvanised ring feeders, troughs, hurdles etc together with an excellent Modulamb Sheep Race and Handling System. The grassland equipment includes a PZ Haybob which has undertaken virtually no work together with very well maintained equipment including the Portech Rear Mounted Post Knocker and various other items which are in very good order. The Pedigree Shropshire Sheep flock was established around four years ago with all the 39 Pedigree animals sold as singles through a small sale ring on sale day. The commercial sheep will be matched into groups with the commercial store lambs sold at the end of the sale. The flock has been regularly wormed and was sheared in early July with the 2016 lambing commencing on the 1 st April. Purchasers should attend and bid with confidence at this excellent small sale with very good national road network access.
