2 AUCTIONEER S REMARKS This most genuine sale arises following Steve Hough s decision to surrender his tenancy at Oak Farm, and take semi-retirement. During a period of 23 years as tenant of Staffordshire County Council, at two of their Canwell Estate Farms, he has assembled an interesting and useful group of machinery and equipment. Inspection is strongly recommended. The farm was in milk and arable production until recently but, during the last two years, the dairy herd has been replaced by beef cattle. DIRECTIONS From the A5, just to the west of Tamworth, take the exit to the A453 Sutton Coldfield Road and Mile Oak. Proceed straight through the traffic lights, by the Mile Oak Mercedes Garage, and after approximately 1 mile turn left, signposted Drayton Bassett. Oak Farm will be found on the right hand side, clearly identified by the auctioneer s To The Sale signs. CAR PARKING Adequate signs will be displayed on the day of sale. Permission has kindly been granted by the owner of the adjoining horticultural nursery for people to use their surfaced car park, which is on the opposite side of the road. CONDITIONS OF SALE The conduct of the auction in general will be under the auctioneer s usual conditions of sale as exhibited in the pay office, that is to say, no warranties or guarantees upon the description or condition of any of the items is either given or implied other than a guarantee as to title, which will pass at the fall of the hammer. VALUE ADDED TAX VAT will be added at the standard rate to the sale price on all items. TERMS OF PAYMENT Cheques accompanied by a banker s card, cash or debit cards will be accepted by the auctioneers on the day of sale. However, intending purchasers wishing to pay by cheque and who have no previous trading record with Hinson Parry & Company will be required to produce, prior to bidding, an acceptable banker s reference, and two forms of proof of identity. The auctioneers reserve the right to withhold purchases until cheques are cleared. Credit Cards can be accepted, but there will be a service charge of 3% added to the purchase price. BUYER REGISTRATION All intending purchasers must register and obtain a buyer s number upon arrival at the farm. CATERER A caterer will be in attendance for light refreshments.
