2 Watts & Morgan 55a High Street Cowbridge Vale of Glamorgan CF71 7AE From Junction 34 of the M4 motorway follow the A4119 towards Talbot Green. Continue through one roundabout to stay on the A4119 and take the next right at the set of traffic lights onto the B4595. Continue on this road for approximately 0.3 miles and take the next sharp left hand turn onto the High Street/B4595. Continue on the B4595 for approximately 1.7 miles and continue through one roundabout onto Penycoedcae Road. Continue on this road into Penycoedcae village until reaching the Queen s Head pub where signposts shall be displayed. CONDITIONS OF SALE The sale is conducted in accordance with the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers conditions of sale for machinery in England and Wales (effective May 2010). 3 SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF SALE 1. All prospective purchasers are to make themselves known to the auctioneers prior to the sale time, giving their full name, trading title, address and contact telephone numbers. 2. All prospective purchasers not known to the auctioneers must provide a BANK REFERENCE prior to purchasing. No cash transactions over 10,000 sterling will be accepted. 3. It is the purchaser s responsibility to ensure that all plant/machinery or equipment complies with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 before such items are used at a place of work. 4. No person will be allowed to remove any of the lots without a pass for the removal of lots. 5. The auctioneers wish to draw to the attention of the purchasers that VAT at the current standard rate will be charged unless otherwise stated. 6. The auctioneers will, at the purchaser s request, transfer lots to another purchaser, but the original purchaser shall not cease to be responsible for the purchase money and, in the event of default, may be sued for the same. 7. ACCIDENTS Every person attending the sale should be deemed to be there at their own risk and neither the vendor nor the auctioneers will be responsible for any damage to life or limb, or property, prior to or during the progress of the sale, or at any time during the removal of lots. Cars are parked entirely at the owner s risk. 8. Buyer s Premium All lots are sold free of buyer s premium. 9. The conditions of sale and special conditions of sale and all transactions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Law of England and Wales.

4 GENERAL INFORMATION VAT Mr J Shelton is not registered for VAT purposes. Therefore, items belonging to Mr Shelton will not be subject to VAT. Some introduced lots may be subject to VAT. BUYER S PREMIUM Will not be charged on any of the lots. PRE-SALE ENQUIRIES All pre-sale enquiries can be made by contacting Elliott Rees or Cerys Millichap on REFRESHMENTS Light and cold refreshments will be available at the Queen s Head pub during the sale. SECURITY AND LOADING OF LOTS The auctioneers will not be responsible for the security of items on the sale day. Please note that the auctioneers reserve the right to withhold purchases until cheques are cleared. VIEWING Morning of sale. CATALOGUE ENTRIES Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that the descriptions are accurate no guarantee is given or implied. Buyers should note that lots may be withdrawn and other lots added prior to the sale day. Buyers are advised to contact the auctioneers prior the sale to confirm a particular lot s inclusion since neither the vendor nor the auctioneers will be responsible for abortive expenses in respect of withdrawn lots. ADDITIONAL LOTS A number of lots from local vendors may be included at the end of the sale. Deadline for additional entries is Tuesday 12 th June REMOVAL OF LOTS All lots are to be removed on the day of the sale. Lots may be removed at the close of sale on production of a receipted account. Purchasers are reminded that all lots become their responsibility from the fall of the hammer (see Central Association of Agricultural Valuers Conditions of Sale on website).

5 PRE-REGISTRATION A buyers number system will operate. All prospective purchasers are requested to attend at the bidder s registration desk prior to the commencement of the sale, so that full details of the intending purchaser s name, address, bankers and other relevant information may be recorded. Failure to obtain a buyer s bid card may result in the auctioneers refusing to accept your bid. ENGINE HOURS Neither the vendors nor the auctioneers make any warranty regarding engine hours or vehicle mileages. Vehicle hours were recorded on 28 th February 2018 in relation to Mr Shelton but continue to be used up to sale day. PAYMENT BY CHEQUE Purchasers wishing to pay by cheque who are not known to the auctioneers are asked to make one of the following arrangements in good time before the date of sale if their purchase is anticipated to exceed the amount shown on their cheque guarantee card:- (1) Inform your Bank Manager that you will be paying by cheque at the sale. Confirm to him the maximum amount (including VAT) that you intend spending and instruct him to inform the auctioneers in writing that it will be in order to accept your cheque to this amount. Confirmation may be made to us by (cerys.millichap@wattsandmorgan.wales/elliott.rees@wattsandmorgan.wales) or arrange to bring a guaranteed cheque with you from your bank and, once cleared, any unallocated funds will be returned to you. We regret we are unable to accept credit cards in settlement of your purchase. Arrangements can be made on sale day for BACS automatic bank credit transfers. PAYMENT BY CASH Due to the requirement of the Money Laundering Requirements, we regret that we are unable to accept payments for goods in cash where the total transaction (including VAT) exceed 10,000. Payment BY DEBIT/CREDIT CARD will not be accepted.
