Allwing the unit t run fr mre than tw minutes withut the gun trigger pulled culd cause verheating and damage t the pump. Chemical Injectin System: Mixes cleaners r cleaning slvents with the water t imprve cleaning effectiveness_ Water Supply: All pressure washers must have a surce f water: The minimum requirements fr a water supply are 20 PSI and 5 gallns per minute, PRESSURE OPERAT NG PRESSURE WASHER FEATURES ADJUSTMENTS The pressure setting is preset at the factry t achieve ptimum pressure and cleaning. If yu need t lwer the pressure, it can be accmplished by these methds_ 1. Back away frm the surface t be cleaned. The further away yu are, the less the pressure will be n the surface t be cleaned. 2. Change t the 40 nzzle - (white) this nzzle delivers a less pwerful stream f water and a wider spray pattern. DO NOT attempt t increase pump pressure. DO NOT attempt t change nzzles while pressure washer is running. Turn engine ff befre changing nzzles. 1. Pull quick cnnect cupler back and insert nzzle. 2. Release quick cnnect cupler and twist nzzle t make sure it is secure in cupler. Risk f Flying Object culd cause risk f serius injury. Ensure nzzle is cmpletely inserted in QC scket, and QC snap ring is fully engaged (frward) befre squeezing gun trigger. Risk f injectin r injury t persn. 10 HOW TO APPLY CHEMICALS AND CLEANING SOLVENTS Applying chemicals r cleaning slvents is a lw pressure peratin. NOTE: Use nly saps and chemicals designed fr pressure washer use_ D nt use bleach. T Apply chemicals: 1. Press chemical hse nt barbed fitting lcated near high pressure hse cnnectin f pump as shwn 2. Place ther end f chemical hse with filter n it int cntainer hlding chemical/cleaning slutin NOTE: Fr every 7 gallns f water pumped 1 galln f chemical/cleaning slutin will be used, 3. Install lw pressure (black} nzzle int quick cnnect fitting f spray wand, see Hw T Use Spray Wand paragraph in this sectin. 4. After use f chemicals, place chemical hse int cntainer f clean water and draw clean water thrugh chemical injectin system t rinse system thrughly, If chemicals remain in the pump it culd be damaged. Pumps damaged due t chemicals will nt be cvered under warranty. NOTE: Chemicals and saps will nt siphn when spray wand is in the high pressure setting,, STARTING Prir t starting, refer t yur engine manual fr prper starting prcedure. 1. In a well ventilated utdr area add fresh, high quality, unleaded gasline with a pump ctane rating f 86 r higher. D nt verfill. Wipe up spilled fuel befre starting the engine,. Refer t Engine Owners Manual fr crrect prcedure. 2. Check engine il level. See Engine Owners Manual fr crrect prcedure. 3. Verify the filter screen is in water inlet f pump_ NOTE: Cne side faces ut,, 4. Cnnect water surce t pump inlet. NOTE: Water surce must prvide a minimum f 5 gallns per- minute at 2O PSI. 5. Cnnect high pressure hse t pump utlel Water Surce 6. if applying a chemical r cleaning slutin, see Hw T Apply Chemicals/Cleaning Slvents instructins in this sectin 7. Turn water surce n. 11 8. Start engine. See Engine Owners Manual fr crrect prcedure. NOTE: When engine rpe is pulled, pressure starts building in the gun. If the engine des nt start after tw pulls, pull the gun trigger t relieve this pressure 9. Depress trigger n gun t start water flw. NOTE: Stand n a stable surface and grip gun/spray wand firmly with bth hands. Expect the gun t kick when triggered, 10. Release trigger t stp water flw. 11. Adjust nzzle spray fr the task being perfrmed. See Hw T Use Wand instructins in this sectin. SHUTTING DOWN 1. After each use, if yu have applied chemicals, place chemical hse int cntainer f clean water and draw clean water thrugh chemical injectin system t rinse system thrughly, NOTE: Failure t d s culd cause damage t the pump. 2. Turn engine ff. See Engine Owner's Manual. 12 When perlrming maintenance_ yu may be expsed t ht surfaces, water pressure, r mving parts that can cause serius injury r death! Befre perfrming any maintenance r repair, discnnect spark plug wire, let engine cl and release all water pressure. The engine cntains flammable fuel. DO NOT smke r wrk near pen flames while perfrming maintenance. T ensure efficient peratin and lnger life f yur pressure washer; a rutine maintenance schedule shuld be prepared and fllwed., If the pressure washer is used in unusual cnditins, such as high-temperatures r dusty cnditins, mre frequent maintenance checks will be required. ENGINE Cnsult the Engine Owners Manual fr the manufacturer's recmmendatins fr any and all maintenance. Cnsult the Engine Owners Manual fr the manufactur _ er's recmmendatins fr any and all maintenance_ NOTE: The frame is equipped with an il drain hle t help make changing the engine ii easier. PUMP The pump n this unit is maintenance free and requires n il, if there is a prblem with the pump cntact an Authrized Service Center. NOZZLE CLEANING If the nzzle becmes clgged with freign materials, such as dirt, excessive pressure may develp. If the nzzle becmes partially clgged r restricted, the pump pressure will pulsate. Clean the nzzle immediately using the nzzle kit supplied and the fllwing instructins: 1. Shut ff the pressure washer and turn ff the water supply. 2= Pull trigger n gun handle t relieve any water pressure Discnnect the spray wand frm the gun. Remve the high-pressure nzzle frm the spray wand. Remve any bstructins with the nzzle cleaning tt prvided and backflush with clean water: 5. Direct water supply int spray wand t backflush lsened particles fr 30 secnds_ 6. Reassemble the nzzle t the wand, 7. Recnnect spray wand t gun and turn n water supply_ 8. Start pressure washer' and place spray wand int high pressure setting t test HOW TO CLEAN THE WATER inlet FALTER This screen filter shuld be checked peridically and cleaned if necessary. 1. Remve filter by grasping end and remving it frm water inlet f pump as shwn, 2. Clean filter by flushing it with water n bth sides. 3. Re-insert filter int water inlet f pump, NOTE: Cne side faces ut_ NOTE: D nt perate pressure washer withut filter prperly installed_ At ENG

13 ENGINE Cnsult the Engine Owners Manual fr the manufacturer's recmmendatins fr strage. PUMP The manufacturer recmmends using a pump prtectr/winterizer, such as EXA80, when string the unit fr mre than 30 days and/r when freezing temperatures are expected, If a pump prtectr/winterizer is nt available, *RV antifreeze needs t be run thrugh the pump as utlined in the steps belw. NOTE: Using a pump prtectr/winterizer r *RV antifreeze is t prvide prper lubricatin t the internal seals f the pump regardless f temperature r envirnment, 1. Obtain a funnel, six unces f*rv antifreeze, and t6-36 inches f garden hse with a male hse cnnectr attached t ne end. Use nly RV antifreeze. Any ther antifreeze is crrsive and can damage pump, 2. Discnnect spark plug wire, 3. Cnnect length f garden hse t water inlet f pump. 4. Add *RV antifreeze t hse as shwn._ 5. Pull engine starter rpe slwly several times until antifreeze cmes ut f high pressure hse cnnectin f pump. 6. Remve garden hse frm water inlet f pump,, 7. Recnnect spark plug wire. *Windshield washer fluid may als be used PRESSURE WASHER 1. Drain all water frm high pressure hse, cil it, and stre it in cradle f the pressure washer handle. 2. Drain all water frm spray gun and wand by hlding spray gun in a vertical psitin with nzzle end pinting dwn and squeezing trigger. Stre in gun hlder,, 3. Attach spark plug wire,. Place engine ON/OFF switch ON psitin, Mve chke t the "N Chke" psitin_ See Hw t Use Spray Wand instructins in the Operatin Sectin. Water supply must be at least 5 20 PSI, Repair leak. Apply sealant tape if necessary, See Nzzle Cleaning instructins in the Maintenance sectin. Remve and clean filter,. Turn ff the engine, then the water surce.. Discnnect the water surce frm the pump inlet and turn the water surce n t remve all air frm the hse..
