Versatile functions and design Protection against faulty operation With duoport SK, users can slide and tilt balcony doors, thus ensuring doors can even be installed in locations where space is limited. Whether used in wooden or PVC-U windows, Winkhaus s fitting range creates wider scope for interior design and meets the exacting standards set by architects, constructors and owners. The duoport SK is suitable for balcony door sashes weighing up to 00 kg with a sash rebate height up to,00 mm. The system can also supply ultra-slim solutions: thanks to its shallow installation depth, the fitting can also be used in narrow profiles. Flexible configuration fast installation. The duoport fitting system consists of a modular concept based on Winkhaus s activpilot components. You can configure all design variations using the clearly arranged selection of basic components. The modular system also offers you the advantage of fast, easy installation, something you will notice when carrying out preparatory work. The double slide mechanisms are pre-assembled as a component module, as are the keeps on the sash drive rod. Uniform drill hole diameters for bogies and drive handles save you time as there is no need to change drill bits; all screw points are easily accessible. Support components with snap-on grooves also make installation simpler. The low, mm installation height for the shear module ensures the window element height can be easily adjusted with a single tool and then permanently fastened into position using a securing clip. Identical cover caps for systems 60 S, 60 Z and 00 Z for concise range. The duoport SK-Z fitting is equipped with an anti-lockout device, which stops the door sash from closing accidently and locking somebody out. The innovative faulty operation safety catch also prevents the handle from being switched into a wrong position. Modular burglary protection The Winkhaus modular system enables the duoport SK fitting system to be very easily adapted to satisfy individual security requirements. Both basic and advanced duoport SK system models feature solid mushroom-head locking bolts. When the fittings are equipped with security keeps on all sides, burglary resistance is improved to meet DIN resistance class RC / RC N requirements. The information in this document is particularly intended for window and patio door manufacturers and fitting and structural component retailers. Accidents and physical damage can be avoided if you observe the information given here. For this reason, you must always make sure to pass on the relevant documents when submitting fittings over to somebody else. Information and documents should be handed over in printed form, on a CD ROM or online, for example. Guidelines for the use of locking systems and fittings Gütegemeinschaft Schlösser und Beschläge e.v., Velbert issues guidelines offering assistance for the use of locking systems and fittings for windows, doors and patio doors. These guidelines are established in cooperation with the trade association of the locks and fittings industry in Velbert as well as the testing institute PIV which is also based in Velbert. If required, they are agreed with the VFF technical committee and ift Rosenheim. As a result the experience and test findings of several decades are considered. The guidelines provide information about the intended use and maintenance of fittings for windows and patio doors. It is mandatory to observe these guidelines. The manufacturer will not accept any liability for noncompliance with these specifications. Please also observe the guidelines issued by Gütegemeinschaft Schlösser und Beschläge e.v. (Association for Quality Control of Locks and Fittings). This information can be obtained at the following Internet address: Product Information and intended use Slide fittings in this definition are fittings for sliding sashes of windows and patio doors that are primarily used on external units and in most cases contain a glazing. It is possible to combine sliding sashes and fixed panels and/or further sashes, e. g. cleaning turn sashes, in one window unit.. Misuse Misuse i.e. the use of a product in a manner contrary to the intended use of slide fittings for sashes of windows and patio doors occurs - if obstacles are placed in the opening area preventing the intended use. - if additional charges act on sashes of windows or patio doors - if someone grasps in the gap between the frame and sash when sliding or closing the window or if there are any persons or body parts in this area when the sah is closed.. Liability The respective fitting may only consist of the original Winkhaus propilot fitting parts. We do not assume any liability in case third-party or non-approved system components are used. For fixing the screws of the fitting components in a professional way please observe the corresponding sections of the mounting instructions.. Product Capabilities - Application instructions of the manufacturer The maximum sash weights for the individual types of fitting must not be exceeded. The component with the lowest permissible loading capacity determines the maximum weight of the sash. Please observe the diagrams and component installation instructions.. Sash sizes and areas of application The graphs in the application diagram show the permitted sash rebate height to width ratios, as determined by different weights of glass and/or overall glass thicknesses. The resulting sash rebate dimensions or sash formats (portrait / landscape) and the maximum sash weight must under no circumstances be exceeded.. Application diagram for determination of the permissible sash sizes The application diagrams for this fitting series for the determination of permissible sash sizes are described and explained separately on the following pages.. Composition of fittings The manufacturer s instructions with regard to the composition of fittings (e. g. number of bogies per sash to be installed, use of glide shears) are mandatory. 5. Product maintenance Security-relevant fitting parts are to be inspected at least once a year to check for wear and to ensure they are firmly secured in position. Fastening screws must be tightened and faulty components must be replaced as required. The following servicing work must also be carried out at least once a year. All mobile parts and locking points for fittings should be greased and tested for function. Only oils and greases not affecting the materials of the fitting may be used. The only cleaning and maintenance materials to be used are those which will not adversely affect the corrosion-resistant properties of the fittings components. Adjustment work to the fittings particularly in the area of the corner drive and the shears as well as the replacement of parts and mounting and removal of opening sashes must be carried out by a trained specialist. 6. Obligations to give information and instructions For the implementation of information and instruction obligations as well as for the maintenance work the following documents are available. They must be submitted to (intermediate) dealers and manufacturers and to the end customer.
