2 1. Night vent device n General The 12 mm night vent position device allows you to ventilate without significant heat and energy loss. Economical and discreet. The night vent position device is especially developed for turn-tilt windows and tilt-turn windows and sets the window in a ventilation position of 12 mm by means of a special wedge on the frame. The frame part is mounted at a fixed distance from the top and the vent part is mounted below the corner transmission. This night vent position device can be turned off and ensures a perfect operation of your window. Very simple operation: -- if the device is disengaged: standard tilt opening of ±170 mm = summer position. -- if the device is operational: tilt opening is restricted to 12 mm = winter position Profile dimensions The night vent position device n is suitable for frame groove of 14/18 mm and frame groove of 10/14 mm. 7 2. Night vent device n General The 4 mm night vent position device allows you to ventilate without significant heat and energy loss. Economical and discreet. The night vent position device, which is placed on the top side, is especially developed for turn-tilt windows and tilt-turn windows and sets a ventilation position of 4 mm by means of a special wedge on the frame. The frame part is mounted at a fixed distance from the hinge side and the vent part is mounted close to the corner transmission. The ventilation position is reached between the tilt position and the turn position, when the handle is turned over an angle of 45. Magnet contact n General Magnet contact n rod with roller fixing magnet contact wedge with magnet contact cap 2 St 2,9x15Din7981 screw Magnetic contact to check whether the window is open or closed. Anti-burglary: when the window is not closed, an alarm system can be activated. The set can be used for CHRONO standard and PLUS as well as CHRONO SAFE. Door catch n General Adjustment range 5 mm Door catch n slotted rod locking roller wedge packer 3 St 4.2x25 Din7504P drilling screw The door catch is designed to hold your windows and balcony doors closed without locking them. Function: the locking roller clips into the keep so that the window is temporarily kept closed without having to lock it. Installation: -- The door catch is mounted adjacent to the handle. -- The locking roller is screwed in the vent groove. The connection rod is slotted so it can slide past the fixed locking roller. -- Note: the door catch can also be mounted at the top or at the bottom (horizontal installation). 17 5. Adjustable wedge n Wedge n is adjustable to increase or decrease the compression of the vent gasket. This can be important to ensure wind and water tightness of the window. The wedge is black passivated and can be applied for a frame groove of 14/18 mm and a frame groove of 10/14 mm. The adjustment range of the wedge is from -1 mm to +2 mm: --position -1 : more compression --position 0 : normal position --position +2 : less compression There are 3 marks on the wedge which indicate the 3 positions: C.3.17

18 6. Reinforcement piece for handle n and -692 N N The reinforcement pieces produce a more solid fixing of the handle. This piece serves as a clamping plate and prevents deformation of the profile wall or in extreme situations prevents the fixing screws being pulled through profile with thin walls. 19 7. Handle n CYL Handle can be locked in 2 positions. -- closed position: grip at 0 -- tilt position: grip at 90 Only suitable for tilt-turn windows. Compared to handles CYL, these handles can also be locked in closed position. In this position there s no free run up to 90. Variant types: (S) CYL (S) CYL (S) CYL (S) CYL N CYL Function: 1. Key at position 0 = key turned 0 : handle unlocked: open up to 180 = completely open. 2. 20 4. Handle n CYL Handle for tilt-turn windows with similar function as handles n CYL, but the key cannot be removed when the grip is rotated 180. The locked cylinder handle has a free run from 0 to 90 which means that the window can always be put in the tilt or ventilation position. The turn position can only be obtained with an unlocked cylinder. When ordering please indicate quantity of left hand and right hand handles. Cover piece n for clip-on handle This cover piece is used for the clip-on handle n This cover piece has a double function: -- Cover the opening when the handle is removed in order to have a nicer appearance. -- Cover the operating mechanism to avoid abuse: for example hospitals, schools, psychiatric institutes,... The cover piece is fitted in the backplate by means of a hexagonal spanner of 4 mm (turn 180 ). Finish: aluminium, grey or black anodised. Clip-on handle n Cover piece n C.3.21

22 5. Special CHRONO INVISION installation set n Drive short spinner The drive short spinner has an ergonomic high-strength bi-material handle. The spinner is resistant to common chemicals. Chrome finish. Performance: to ISO 3315, DIN 3122 and NF ISO Universal joint with hexagon The universal joint with embossed hexagon is slowed by a spring. The joint will remain in the adjusted position, in order to reach difficult accessible places. The use of the universal joint can save a lot of time. C.3.22
