emobility a chance But not if we transfer all combustion vehicles into evehicles New mobility concepts are needed So far: We are adding more and more mobility on the roads No concept which has the road reduction in mind was so far successful Car Sharing studies are trying to tell us that this concept has no impact on new mobility behavior???!!!! If I implement a car sharing in the city and make my interviews in the suburbs yes then this is the result. We need a city KPI e.g. heads per vehicle transported Source: CRI online

Typical challenge in the public transport sector Challenges Utilization of the bus lines Assumtion: Per bus line in avg. between 5 and up to 11 busses are in use. The ebus costs with 400kWh battery about 500,000, -. In addition you need for each bus a charging point in the depot. The line starts in a suburb and will end inside the city. Red line no profit Yellow line cost coverage Green line you earn money Red part will have a limit frequency after normal business hours. Customer compliance about low frequency.
Typical challenge in the public transport sector Challenges Utilization of the bus lines Assumtion: Per bus line in avg. between 7 and up to 11 busses are in use. The ebus costs with 400kWh battery about 500,000, -. In addition you need for each bus a charging point in the depot. The line starts in a suburb and will end inside the city. Total investment: approx. 4 Mio per line Red line no profit Yellow line cost coverage Green line you earn money Red part will have a limit frequency after normal business hours.
Typical challenge in the public transport sector Idea for the future Better Utilization of the bus lines Assumtion: The ebus costs with 400kWh battery about 500,000, -. (4 x) Mini ebus cost with 150kWh battery about ,- (10 x) In addition you need for each bus a charging point in the depot. The line starts in a suburb and will end inside the city. Total investment: approx. 3.5 Mio per line High frequency or o demand pick up Intermediate transport system

Typical challenge in the public transport sector Idea for the future Better Utilization of the bus lines Result: Peak load is less Grid utilization also during the day Leads not really to less energy consumption Also leads to cost savings regards peak shaving But the size of the grid connection must be enlarged ebus only Vehicle Mix #ebusses MWh Power demand MW #ebusses #evans MWh Power demand MW
Typical city in Challenges Charging in the future sample ciy with citizen Public Transport 200 ebusses ~15 Mio km p.a. Total energy capacity 200 ebusses a 400kWh battery kwh battery capacity Charging slot approx. 5h max. 6h over night private vehicles today registered. ~10% in 2030 equal to private vehicles with 55 kwh. This is equal to kwh private battery capacity. Size of grid connection 11kW in the home area. Additional land grid connections for CV s, Which will execute the last mile logistics electric over night. First electric ships are already in place. Battery size for ferries between 2 MWh and 4 MWh.
