3 1.0 EXPLORATION/DRILLING ACTIVITIES SUMMARY FOR JUNE 2011 Table i - Fiscalised Crude Oil Production by Company COMPANY CRUDE OIL PRODUCTION DAILY AVERAGE % OF TOTAL (BARREL) PRODUCTION bbls m3 Only SPDC Total E & P and Panocean carried out exploration/drilling activities this month. Drilling was carried out on 6 wells (Table1.0). 2.0 CRUDE OIL AND CONDENSATE 2.1 Production: Available total Non-fiscalised production for the month of June 2011is million barrels. There was no production figure from Mobil, ESSO and AENR as at the time of this report. Total Fiscalised production for the month was million barrels representing 2.42 million barrels per day. This is 6.47% lower than the May production of million barrels or 2.34 million barrels per day. 2.2 Lifting (Domestic and Export) Total crude oil and condensate lifting for both domestic and export was about million barrels. Oil companies lifted million barrels (52.92%), while NNPC lifted million barrels (47.08%). Lifting by fiscal regime shows million barrels for JVC, million barrels for PSC/SC, and 6.47 million barrels for other regimes respectively. Out of NNPC s liftings, million barrels was for Federation Account, while 9.72 million barrels was for domestic use. These are shown in Table i and the corresponding chart on the next page. It also includes 1,898,315 and 5,605,211 barrels for PPMC offshore Cargo Liftings and Crude Exchange respectively. 2.3 Lifting (Alternative Funding): AF lifting was about 4.34 million barrels. NNPC lifted 0.50 million barrels (11.52%) while two companies (Shell and Total E & P) lifted 3.84 million barrels (88.48 %). Liftings by Companies are part of the JVCs export while the lifting by NNPC adds to the Federation account lifting. Table ii on the next page gives further breakdown. iv

Table 5 and the chart above provide further insight. v
6 3.0 NATURAL GAS 3.1 Natural Gas Production and Utilization Table iv- (GAS PRODUCED, UTILISED AND FLARED) (mscf)) June 2011 total production of natural gas is BSCF. This is lower than the May 2011 figure of BSCF by BSCF. About 24.74% of the total gas production was flared. The rest was utilized as shown on Table iii below. Table 6 gives further details of gas activities during the month. 3.2 Natural Gas Liquid (NGL) Inventory There was no report at the time of this publication. 7 4.0 REFINERY OPERATIONS 4.1 Crude Oil Balance: This month, 440 thousand mt of dry Crude Oil, Condensate and Slop was received by the three Refineries, KRPC, PHRC and WRPC. With an opening stock of 501 thousand mt, total Crude Oil available for processing was 941 thousand mt, out of which 359 thousand mt was processed. The respective average capacity utilization during the month was 32.75%, 11.09% and 22.86% for KRPC, PHRC and WRPC respectively. 8 Zonal Consumption 4.3 Refinery Fuel and Loss: Altogether 34,374 mt of products was used by the three (3) refineries as fuel and loss. Consumption as fuel was 8.76% while loss and flare accounted for 0.81% of production. Table 11.0 shows the breakdown by refinery. 5.0 DOMESTIC PETROLEUM PRODUCTS DISTRIBUTION The Major and Independent Petroleum Products Marketing Companies distributed about million litres of various petroleum products throughout the 36 States and FCT in June 2011 (Tables 12.0 and 13.0). This shows a decrease of million litres or 11.54% when compared with the total volume distributed in May 2011 ( million litres). The Major Petroleum Products Marketing Companies distributed million litres (39.70% of the total sales) of petroleum products, while the independent Marketing Companies distributed the remaining million litres (60.30%). North West 5.57% North East 4.59% North Central 15.98% Abuja 4.01% Distribution by product shows, Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) had the highest figure of million litres (64.35%) of the total reflecting average daily sales of million litres. Household Kerosene (HHK) came second in the petroleum products distribution slate with total figure million litres (14.70%) giving an average daily figure of 3.14 million litres. Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) with total sales figure of million litres (12.95%) averaging 2.77 million litres per day. Low Pour Fuel (LPFO) came fourth in the petroleum products distribution slate with total figure of million litres (7.07%) giving an average daily figure of 1.51 million litres. Aviation Turbine Kerosine (ATK), Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), Lubricating Oils, Brake fluids as well as Others constituted the remaining part of the distribution.
