3 REFINED PETROLMN PROIJCTS IN CANADA SIPTEMHM Output of refined petroleum products in Canada d.uing September, 1949 totalled 8,446,078 barrels compared with 7,987,386 barrels in September, The.total for the month under review included 3,999,780 barrels of motor gasoline, 47,303 barrels of aviation gasoline, 1,803,065 barrels of heavy fuel oil (Nos. 4, 5 and 6), 541,635 barrels of diesel fuel, 899,234 barrels of light fuel oil (Nos. 2 and 3), 309,672 barrels of stove oil (No. 1 fuel oil), 94,658 barrels of tractor fuel, 62,176 barrels of naphtha specialties, and 653,704 barrels of other refinery products such as lubrieating oils, asphalt, coke, liquefied petroleum gases, etc. Refineries in Canada used 8,861,531 barrels of crude oil during September, 1949 compared with 8,473,261 barrels In September, Receipts of crude oil during the current month totalled 8,631,984 barrels including 6,691,210 barrels of Imported oil and 1,940,774 barrels from Canadian sources of supply. Inventories of crude at the and of the month amounted to 6,522,369 barrels compared with 5,369,371 barrels on the orreaponding date of last year. The consumption of liquid petroleum fuels in Canada, as computed from refinery shipments and from imports, exports and changes in marketing inventories of refiners, wholesalers and major consumers, was as follows in September, 1949, all figures being In barrels of 35 Imperial gallons: Naphtha specialties, 84,660; aviation gasoline, 137,984; motor gasoline, 4,848,725; tractor fuel, 138,418; kerosene, 77,535; stove oil (No. 1 fuel oil), 477,309; diesel fuel, 704,433; light fuel oil (Nos. 2 and 3), 681,157; and heavy fuel oil (Nos. 4, 5 and 6), 2,255,179.
