1 PACO Split Case Kits are arranged so that you can replace virtually any component with minimum of effort. Here are some guidelines and suggestions: GENERAL NOTES: The pump nameplate contains all data required in the selection and ordering of the proper replacement parts kit. The pump model and serial number should be referenced whenever any replacement parts kit is ordered, while the pump conditions (GPM/TDH) and impeller trim are required data for the ordering of replacement impellers. To replace a mechanical seal. Select the correct Seal Kit, (which contains a complete Gasket Kit and a Bearing Kit) which will maximize seal life and eliminate future down time. Shaft sleeve inspection is suggested, and replacement made as indicated. To replace the packing. A Packing Kit is needed. (Again, Bearing and Gasket Kits are included.) Shaft sleeve inspection is recommended. If packing glands are damaged, they may be replaced by ordering the proper Packing Gland Kit. To replace the shaft sleeves. You will need a Shaft Sleeve Kit. A Seal or Packing Kit will provide all other normally needed parts. To replace bearings. A Bearing Kit is required and a Gasket Kit is recommended. Bearing Kits and Gasket Kits are included in Seal/Packing Kits. To replace case wear rings. A Case Wear Ring Kit is required. A Seal/Packing Kit will provide all other normally replaced components. To replace impeller. An Impeller Kit is required; a Case Wear Ring Kit is highly recommended, and a Seal or Packing Kit will provide all other normally replaced components. To replace the shaft. The correct shaft should be selected. Shaft replacement is most often accompanied by replacement of the seal/packing and sleeves. To inspect the pump internals. Since gaskets are often damaged, a Gasket Kit is recommended. To replace lost/damaged hardware. Hardware Kits are available, for 175 PSI units. (For 250 PSI refer to factory). To overhaul the pump. (Replace Rotating Assembly.) You will need an Impeller Kit, a Wear Ring Kit, a Shaft Sleeve Kit, a Seal/Packing Kit and a shaft. NOTE: Seal/Packing Kits are always recommended as spare parts. VIRTUALLY ALL REQUIRED PARTS ARE AVAILABLE IN KIT FORM. These kits (easily selected from the charts on the preceeding pages) have been designed to insure that any part needed when replacing any split case component is furnished when you need it.
