1 4/19/2007 Head of the Lakes Corvair Association Newsletter Hot Air Corvair s Strut their stuff at the World of Wheels Car Show The Corvairs made their mark at the world of Wheels Car Show at the Duluth Arena March Ron Thompson, Ed Lampi, Art Bringe, Dale Olson, Jim Linder and Dan Rutka displayed their cars at the show. Ron also had his 1964 Huffy Corvair Bike in the show. The tables were full of good Corvair info and the turn out of interested people was fantastic. Pete had his Corvair Video s running all the time and that drew a lot of attention. The set up we had was first class all the way. Congratulation's to all that set up the show. Job WELL DONE!!!

Lots of things to look at. Art Bringe s Evening Orchid convertible. Art was so impressed with the mini doughnuts that he left all his windows and doors open so he could capture the smell and enjoy it later. To this day if you sit in his car you get the munchies for mini doughnuts. Dan Rutka s Early sedan drew a lot of attention. The lines of the Early sedan s always draw comments about the overhand above the rear window. The display of How well do you know your Corvair was quite a hit. Almost everyone that walked by had to take a peek. And just like old Faithful Ed Lampi and his 68 Monza were on display again. Thanks Ed!!!
