4 Equipments REV-KIT M REV-KIT A APPLICATIONS The system is specifically designed for the extraction of the exhaust gas from moving vehicles during the various stages of the vehicle test envisaged by EEC regulations concerning road safety and the environment. Installed on a ceiling or wall, in the lengths required for various different vehicle testing lines, this system allows extraction of exhaust gas by connecting a special rubber intake directly to the vehicle exhaust pipe. The extraction unit, equipped with a fixing clamp on the vehicle exhaust adaptor, is caused to travel along the entire length of the extraction system to provide localised removal of exhaust gas. At the end of the line, a mechanical release device automatically detaches the hose adapted to release the vehicle from the system. In the REV M version the operator manually returns the slide bearing to the start of the line, where it remains at the disposal of the next vehicle, while in version REV A a specific recovery system with a steel cable serves to return the slide bearing automatically to the start of the line so that the intake can be connected to the next vehicle. Version REV A uses inverter technology to adjust the return speed of the slide bearing, which is set during the system testing phase, in accordance with the length of the line. For control and supervision of all the functions (especially safety functions), version REV A is equipped as standard with both a pendant panel and a remote control handset. CONSTRUCTION FEATURES The CEA duct track is made entirely of aluminium alloy to guarantee properties of low weight and resistance to the chemical components contained in exhaust gas. The duct cover supported by preassembled brackets in powder coated carbon steel allows the creation of very long suction lines resistant to torsional loads. The system envisages the use of a double die cast profile in Anticorodal aluminium alloy specifically designed to allow fast and easy sliding movements of hose reels and slide bearings for connection to TGA rubber hoses. The perfect internal vacuum seal required by high pressure hose reels for exhaust gas extraction is assured by a special EPDM rubber lip seal made with a fin profile and designed to provide durable resistance to aggressive exhaust gas components, heat, aging and abrasion. Ceiling or wall mounting procedures are greatly simplified by the use of our range of telescopic brackets, which can be used for installation also at significant heights and for ensuring perfect alignment of the extraction duct. 139

We recommend this value for the maximum air velocity to facilitate free sliding of the slide bearings and correct expulsion of exhaust gas. The data are guaranteed also for different lengths of TGA hose.
