3 WELDING Technical data sheet ARTICULATED EXTRACTION ARMS ARMOFLEX Articulated extraction arm for the removal of welding fumes and microparticulate, self-supporting pantograph structure balanced with double sealed gas pistons, flexible hose APPLICATIONS Extraction of fumes and micro-particulate from welding. Wall or trolley installation are possible. FEATURES The Armoflex series, thanks to the materials used and its innovative design, provides the operator with high manoeuvrability and a stable position, guaranteed by a system of Belleville washers which supports the arm. The internal load bearing structure is manufactured with re-enforced steel tubing and 6061 aluminium components CNC machined from single blocks to achieve T6 properties, then anodised to guarantee durability over time, despite continuous exposure to fumes. The flexible cover hose is a multilayer PVC to guarantee protection from any sparks and resistance to high temperatures (max 140 C). The extraction hood, with high uptake for maximum efficiency of extraction, includes a manual damper to regulate airflow, antiintrusion grille protection and handle. The ARMOFLEX series is available in three versions: IBFA: wall-mounted version, supplied with a painted steel bracket for fastening and connecting to the exhaust fumes hose. Duct installation is possible without the shelf. IBFAV: Version complete with centrifugal fan, for wall installation, supplied with a painted steel bracket for fastening and connecting to the exhaust fumes hose. FEATURES Thanks to high levels of durability, the PAB series extenders are the ideal solution for increasing the actuation radius of the Ø and 200 IBS arms. Manufactured entirely from coated steel of significant thickness, they are equipped with a shelf which allows 180 rotation in total safety and may be used to support EV series extraction fans. 14 WELDING Technical data sheet WALL-MOUNTED SYSTEM PURIFICATION ICAP Wall-mounted purification system for welding fumes complete with selfsupporting articulated arm APPLICATIONS These purification systems have been designed to extract welding fumes in places where welding work is carried out on an occasional basis, for example, spot welding or seam or arc welding, therefore with the development of medium-low concentrations of pollutants containing gas or suspended micro-particles. The fumes initially extracted pass through a plenum which slows the flow of air and allows its correct passage through the filters. The filters consist of a series of metallic and acrylic components which guarantee maximum levels of filtration, and vary depending on the version of the machine. In addition, deodorisation is achieved using an activated carbon filter (10 kg), before releasing the filtered air into the environment. The system is composed of two fundamental components: 1) A small-dimension extractor-filter panel positioned to one side of the workspace, consisting of a modular structure which contains filters, a ventilation unit and control panel for switching ON/OFF. 2) The containment structure consists of a galvanised steel, load bearing frame with wheels, and a PVC outer covering. An essential feature of this structure is that it can be reduced in size to just 1.5 m in length and extended to the specific requirements of the customer. 24 WELDING Technical data sheet PROTECTION SYSTEMS TS Curtain for all welding processes APPLICATIONS The curtains are generally used with an operator present and orange the most coonly used colour. The dark green is completely opaque and cannot be looked through (the curtain appears to be black) and is used in proximity to automatic systems, but also whenever the operator works with very high amperage and the welding arc is quite strong and intense. FEATURES The curtains can be used for all welding processes in compliance with Standard EN 1598 which stipulates that they are to be flame retardant with UV and IR filtering properties, both of which are typical in welding and extremely dangerous for the eyes. 26 WELDING Technical data sheet PORTABLE UNITS FACILE Portable extraction fan for welding fumes APPLICATIONS The portable FACILE extraction fan is particularly suited to protecting the operator from fumes and particulate when working in positions which cannot be reached by traditional portable purification systems, or for the simple ventilation of closed rooms in extraction or under pressure (introducing air from outside), such as silos or tunnels. It consists of a high performance centrifugal fan, mounted on a trolley and connected to an electrical panel to operate and protect the motor.
