4 A ALARMS 1. Ice alarm, GT 42 1.a. What? Low liquid temperature (GT 42) after the exhaust air coil. Risk of destroying the heat / cooling exchangers, set value for temperature alarm, standard +2 C. 1.b. Analysis SV 40: BY PASS VALVE SV 40 closed, Heat recovery signal 100% (10 V) SV 40 open error in valve or cabling heat recovery signal 0-30% cooling sequence manual position of valve, shall be in automatic position. GF 10, 20: AIR FLOW Exhaust air, GF 20<< supply air, GF 10 Exhaust air, GF 20<< of dimensioned. EXHAUST AIR COIL Frost formation on the exhaust air coil. GT 20: EXHAUST AIR TEMPERATURE Exhaust air temperature, GT 20 << of dimensioned. GP 41: LIQUID FLOW Liquid flow > 1/3 of supply air flow? Otherwise, ECONET does not increase the liquid flow due to the risk of ice formation check the parameters check the frequency inverter, shall be in automatic position. WHEN AT STATE NOT RUNNING When continuous Ice alarm the supplementary heating valve has to open during state not running, set value for opening SV 30 (heating valve) for example GT 42 = +10 C, look at ECONET functional description. A ALARMS 2. Frost alarm, GT 41 2.a. What? Low liquid temperature (GT 41) after the supply air coil. Risk of frost formation in the exhaust air coil, set value for temperature alarm, standard -10 C. 2.b. Analysis GT 10: SUPPLY AIR TEMPERATURE Set value = actual value GT 10 Set value > actual value GT 10 and SV 30 in position 100% reduced supplementary heating power too low heating temperature at SV 30 recovered heat from the exhaust air too low GP 41: LIQUID FLOW Liquid flow > 1/3 of supply air flow? GT 40 > GT C ECONET does not increase the liquid flow due to the risk of frost formation check the parameters GT 00 OUT DOOR AIR TEMPERATURE Out door air, GT 00 lower than dimensioning circumstances. WHEN AT STATE START UP Start sequense for AHU, first start ECONET and exhaust air unit, after some minutes start supply air unit. No or too slow availability of supplementary heating. OTHER ALARM Has there been another alarm before Frost Alarm? WHEN AT STATE START UP Start sequense for AHU, first start ECONET and exhaust air unit, after some minutes start supply air unit. 5 A ALARMS 3. Pump alarm, P 40 3.a. What? The pump does not run, when it should. 3.b. Analysis POWER FAILURE (ELECTRICITY) Check. P 40: NO SIGNAL FROM PUMP Check cable. FO 40: FREQUENCY INVERTER FOR PUMP Inverter has to be on automatic. OVERVOLTAGE If there is an alarm when frequency on 50 Hz, it might be over voltage Why running on 50 Hz? Adjust max Hz to 45 Hz or lower. OTHER ALARM Has there been another alarm before the Pump alarm? A ALARMS 4. Pressure Alarm, GP 40 4.a. What? Low static pressure on suction side of pump (P 40) Risk of destroying components in the liquid circuit. Set value for alarm, standard 0,5 bar. 4.b. Analysis LEACKAGE IN LIQUID CIRCUIT Fix it. AIR IN THE LIQUID CIRCUIT Purge the air Check the air purging equipment Add liquid. A ALARMS 5. Liquid, temperature sensor alarm, GT 41, 42 5.a What? Component alarm, liquid temperatures, frost protection temperature (GT 41) or Ice protection temperature (GT 42). 5.b. Analysis CHECK CABLING CHECK SENSORS B ALARMS 6. Air temperature sensor alarm, GT 00, 10, 20, 21 and liquid temperature sensor alarm, GT 40 6.a What? Component alarm, liquid temperature at Pump (GT 40). Air temperature sensors for deliveries with temperature efficiency calculation. Component alarm, air temperatures, outdoor air temperature (GT 00) supply air temperature (GT 10) exhaust air temperature (GT 20) or extract air temperature (GT 21). 6.b. Analysis CHECK CABLING CHECK SENSORS 7. Pump 1 or Pump 2 alarm, P 40.1 or P a What? Only for deliveries with twin pump solution Component alarm, either one of the pumps or one of the frequency inverters (for the pumps). 7.b. 6 8. Efficiency alarm 8.a What? Only for deliveries with temperature efficiency cal culation. 8.b. Analysis CHECK CABLING CHECK SENSORS OTHER ISSUES 9 Low heat recovery efficiency 9.a What? Lower energy recovery efficiency than expected: The temperature heat recovery efficiency is calculated as: (GT 42-GT 41) x (GT 10-GT 00) h = (GT 40-GT 41) x (GT 20-GT 00) (GT 10-GT 00) h = (GT 20-GT 00) (GT 21-GT 20) h = (GT 00-GT 20) 9.b Analysis When the heating valve SV 30 is open When the heating valve SV 30 is closed When cooling recovery is calculated HEAT RECOVERY SIGNAL 100% (10 V) <100% (<10 V) no need of maximum heat recovery. GF 10, 20: AIR FLOW supply air flow = exhaust air flow supply air flow > exhaust air flow lower efficiency supply air flow < exhaust air flow higher efficiency GT 21: EXTRACT AIR TEMPERATURE GT 21 < GT GT 21 ~ GT 00 Exhaust air flow lower than the supply air flow GT 21 ~ GT 20 SV 40 open Exhaust air flow bigger than the supply air flow. GT 20: EXHAUST AIR TEMPERATURE check that the exhaust air temperature / humidity is similar to dimensioned exhaust air temperatur lower exhaust air temperature lower efficiency lower exhaust air humidity lower efficiency higher exhaust air temperature higher efficiency higher exhaust air humidity higher efficiency. GT 10: SUPPLY AIR TEMPERATURE check that the supply air temperature is similar to dimensioned. GP 41: LIQUID FLOW shall be 1/3 of the air flow l/s vs. m 3 /s < 1/3 of the supply air flow reduced heat recovery (Heat rec. signal< 100%) ECONET gets wrong air flow parameter fault > 1/3 of the supply air flow ice /frost formation mode ECONET gets wrong air flow parameter fault GT 40: LIQUID TEMPERATURE, SUPPLY COIL IN GT 40~GT C GT 40 ~ GT 41 high liquid flow low supply air flow GT 40 > GT 10 low liquid flow. GT 00: OUT DOOR AIR TEMPERATURE -10 C < GT 00 < 0 GT 00 < -10 C reduced heat recovery due to frost formation mode. 7 GT 41: LIQUID TEMPERATURE, SUPPLY COIL OUT GT 41 ~ GT C GT 41 ~ GT 40 high liquid flow low air flow GT 41~ GT 00 low liquid flow low supply air flow GT 41 < -3 C frost formation mode with high liquid flow. GT 42: LIQUID TEMPERATURE, EXHAUST COIL OUT GT 42 ~ GT C GT42 ~ GT 41 high liquid flow little/no exhaust air flow SV 40 open. SV 40: BY-PASS VALVE SV 40 closed, when heat recovery signal > 30% SV 40 open valve or cable fault cooling sequence manual / automatic position, shall be on automatic. 10. Pump continuous on 100%, P a. What? ECONET controls the liquid flow according to the need and the circumstances. Normally the pump runs on 30-60% of maximum when there is a need of maximum heat recovery, heat recovery signal =100% (10V). 10.b. Analysis GT 41: RISK OF FROST FORMATION GT41 < -3 C. G T 42: RISK OF ICE FORMATION GT 42 < +6 C. INDATA/PARAMETER LIST compare data found in the controls to the parameterlist. GF 10: CHECK THE SUPPLY AIR SIGNAL check type of signal flow/pressure linear signal, sensor/econet controls check k-factor, label on AHU/ECONET controls check wiring, for supply air GF 10 see below check the tubes. GP 41: PRESSURE SENSOR (Huba) is the sensor connected in a proper way? are the shut off valves in the right position? set value = actual value. SHUT OFF VALVES the shut off valves shall be open (except the shut off valve between the supplementary energy in/out, position depends on the connection) MMA valve shall always be 100 % open. P 40: PUMP ROTATION Pump running in the right direction? Compare with arrows found on the pump Check the pressure on the pressure side of the pump (4-6 bar).
