18 Assembly Instructions CAUTION: MOST COMPONENT PARTS ON THE 10" BELTVEYOR TUBULAR CONVEYOR ARE HEAVY. USE A SAFE LIFTING DEVICE WHEN UNLOADING AND DURING THE ASSEMBLY PROCESS. IMPORTANT: PRE ASSEMBLY NOTES. 1. Special tools (in addition to standard hand tools) are as follows: 1. Carpenter's level 2. Power pull or other tightener (for pulling belt together) 3. Length of rope slightly longer than BeltVeyor (for pulling belt through tube) 4. Belt clamps Saw horse Plumb line 7. Tape measure 8. Overhead crane (or equivalent) 2. Before starting assembly procedures, remove parts from the parts cartons and parts bundles and identify by part number and description. Use the various repair parts lists in this manual for this procedure. Organize the nuts and bolts by size and type. 3. Fasteners may vibrate loose during shipping. It is recommended you check nuts, bolts, set screws, and sheave alignment on pre-assembled parts prior to start-up. STEP #1 Refer to the band location drawings on pages and locate the BeltVeyor you are assembling. STEP #2 Refer to Figure #1 - Detail A-A. Set the tube weldments on saw horses in the order they are to be assembled. Attach using 3/8" x 1" bolts and 3/8" hex nuts. IMPORTANT: Make sure the cut portion of the flange ring is down. Head, Tail, and Tubes Assembly Instructions Figure #1 STEP #3 Refer to Figure #1. Assemble the head and tail assemblies to the tubes using the same nuts and bolts required in STEP #2. Using the carpenter's level, square the head and tail to each other. STEP #4 Refer to Figure #1 - Detail B-B. Assemble safety chain to hitch as shown. Assemble the hitch to the tail assembly using 1/2" x 2" bolts and 1/2" hex nuts. 72

20 Track Assembly Instructions Figure #2 STEP #1 Refer to the band location drawings on pages for your track location. STEP #2 Refer to Figure #2 - Detail A-A. Position the track frame "A" on to the tube and loosely secure with half bands or return roller half bands where they are required. Use 3/8" x 1 1/4" bolts and 3/8" hex nuts on all half band assemblies. NOTE: All tracks have an upper stop welded at one end. This end always goes to the head or discharge end of the BeltVeyor. STEP #3 Refer to Figure #2 - Detail A-A. Using the carpenter's level, square the track with the head and tail and tighten the bolts. NOTE: Keep the level on the track and tighten bolts evenly, going from one side to the other to maintain square. STEP #4 Refer to Figure #2 - Detail B-B. Install the track slide "B" onto the track with the cable pulley aimed at the tail end of the BeltVeyor. Assemble the lower track stops "C" onto the track using 3/8" x 1" bolts and 3/8" hex nuts. 74

Attach half band "D" to other half band on motor mount using 3/8" x 1 1/4" bolts and 3/8" hex nuts. NOTE: Keep the electric motor mount and the drive unit square to the head and tail using the carpenter's level. 77

Assemble half band "D" to the second half band of the electric motor mount. Use 3/8" x 1 1/4" bolts and 3/8" hex nuts on all half bands. STEP #3 Refer to Figure #5. Position the axle bracket "E" under tube. Secure using the starter bracket "F" and half band "G". Use 3/8" x 1 1/4" bolts and 3/8" hex nuts.
