1 ulletin /US Introduction pplication arker D1M Series hydraulic directional control valves are high performance, direct operated 4-way valves. hey are available in 2 or 3 position styles. hey are manifold mounted valves, which conform to NF s D03 mounting pattern. hese valves were designed for mobile hydraulic applications which require high cycle rates, long life and high efficiency. Operation arker s D1M Series directional control valves consist of a four chamber style body, and a case hardened sliding spool. he spool is directly shifted by solenoid operators. 8 ulletin /US Installation Information Fluid Recommendations remium quality hydraulic oil with a viscosity range between SSU (32-54 cst) at 38 C (100 F) is recommended. he absolute operation viscosity range is from SSU ( cst). Oil should have maximum anti-wear properties and rust and oxidation treatments. Fluids and Seals Valves using synthetic, fire-resistant fluids require special seals. When phospate ester or its blends are used, FLUOROCRON seals are required. Waterglycol, water-in-oil emulsions, and petroleum oil may be used with NIRILE seals. emperature Recommendation Recommended oil temperature: -7 to +71 C (-20 to +160 F) Filtration For maximum valve and system component life, the system should be protected at a contamination level not to exceed 125 particles greater than 10 microns per milliliter of fluid. (SE Class 4 or better, ISO 16/13). ank Line Surges If several valves are piped with a common tank line, flow surges in the line may cause unexpected spool shift. Detent style valves are most susceptible to this. Separate tank lines should be used when line surges are expected in an application. When solenoid is energized, flow path is to and to. he center condition on a spring-centered valve exists when both coils are de-energized, or during a complete shift, as the spool passes through center. Single Solenoid. Spring offset valves can be ordered in four styles:, E, H and K. Flow path data for the various styles are described in the order chart. Electrical Failure Should electric power fail, spring offset and spring centered valves will shift to the spring held position. If main flow does not fail or stop simultaneously, machine actuators may continue to function in an undesirable manner or sequence. orque Specifications orque values recommended for the bolts which mount the valve to the manifold or subplate are as follows: #10-24 thread (M5-0.8) torque 5.6 Nm (50 in-lbs).
