NCP Car Park Some key facts are detailed below: A link to the NCP website is here. The car park is open 06:00 24:00 (Mon-Sat)) and 09:30 17:30 (Sunday) Charges are: 30 mins 1, 30m 2h 3.70, 2h-4h 6.70, 4h-24h Early bird 4 if arrive between 07:00-08:30 for 12 hours. Season tickets available 3.66 per day. Maximum capacity of the car park is 160 spaces. 1. Survey To provide up-to-date information on the NCP car park, a classified turning count survey was undertaken on Thursday 26 th March 2015 by Axiom Traffic Limited. To undertake the survey, a video camera was set up on a lamp post column opposite Tower Street. The camera recorded the movements of vehicle classifications (Table 1) in and out of the car park between the hours of 0600 and 2200hrs. Survey Data Analysis AECOM has utilised the turning counts to calculate the demand into/out of the car park, and the occupancy of the car park during the survey day. Figure 1 shows the total car park demand per hour, differentiated by entry and exit movements. The peak car park demand was between 13:00 and 14:00 with 68 vehicles per hour. The video survey footage was utilised to determine an initial occupancy of the car park at 06:00hrs. The evidence for this can be found in Figure 2. This allowed a respective occupancy to be determined for the 06:00-22:00hrs period. The full results can be found in Appendix A. From the occupancy calculations, the maximum number of vehicles that occupied the car park throughout the 16 hour period (06:00-22:00hrs) was 132 vehicles between 11:00-11:15hrs, out of a potential capacity of 160 spaces. Figure 3 indicates the occupancy of the Car Park from 06:00 to 22:00 in chart form.
