1 Transportation from Copernicus Airport to Wroclaw City Center By Taxi: This is the most direct route to a hotel. The fare is PLN. By bus: Take bus No. 406 at the terminal. There are also over 20 tram lines here. Day buses and trams travel on working days usually from 5.00 to and on weekends and (bank) holidays from 6.00 to Night buses travel from to 5.00 and meet at the PKS bus station every 30 minutes and then go to all parts of the city. Symbols Regular bus lines bear numbers from 100 to 149. The travel fee for express buses (numbers starting from 4..) is the same as for travel on regular-line buses. Suburban buses (with numbers from 6..), fast buses (marked with letters) and night buses with numbers from 240 to 259 are more expensive. If the number is placed on a yellow plate or the timetable at a stop is yellow, this means that the route of the line has changed, e.g. due to road works in a street. There is usually additional information "route change" ("zmiana trasy ) provided on the vehicle. Short-term tickets which have already been validated in vehicles belonging to MPK lines are accepted in the lines whose numbers start with "9" only within the administrative boundaries of Wroclaw.

2 Ticket To travel by municipal transport, you need a single-ride or season (short term) ticket, which you may buy at marked points or from ticket vending machines. They are located near stops and in MPK vehicles, where you can pay with payment cards only (including proximity cards). You need to validate your single-ride or season (short term) ticket immediately after boarding a tram or bus (including tickets purchased in the vehicle). Types of tickets SINGLE-RIDE TICKET: The single-ride ticket entitles you to travel once by one means of transport by bus or tram. The single-ride ticket entitles you to travel on regular and suburban lines or express and night lines. This becomes proof of payment of the travel fee when you validate it in the ticket validator in a given vehicle and remains valid until the person who paid with it exits the vehicle, but no longer than until the vehicle arrives at the final stop for the given direction of the line or the last stop before the arrival at the depot. If the vehicle's course is interrupted due to an emergency, the single-ride ticket allows you to travel further in a vehicle indicated by the carrier in whose vehicle the ticket has been validated. You may pay for a single ride with several tickets with a total value of no less than the due amount. You may not give your validated ticket to another person. SHORT-TERM TICKET: The short-term ticket is to be validated once and remains valid from the time of validation for: 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours or 168 hours. During the validity of the short-term ticket, you may change buses/trams as often as you wish. The time you take to change vehicles counts as travel time. A validated 30, 60 or 90-minute ticket remains valid in emergency situations when it is impossible to continuing travelling on the same tram or bus, in particular in the case of: failure of a tram or bus, road accident or power failure, provided that you validate the ticket again within 30 minutes from the occurrence of the above-mentioned circumstances. A validated short-term ticket for a tram or bus is still valid on other trams and buses on all lines of the relevant type during its validity. Two reduced-fare short-term tickets: of the 30-minute, 60-minute, 90-minute, 24-hour, 48- hour, 72-hour and 168-hour type replace the corresponding full-fare tickets: of the 30-minute, 60-minute, 90-minute, 24-hour, 48-hour, 72-hour and 168-hour type, provided that they are validated at the same time.

Children and school-aged youth, students, doctoral students and pensioners may travel at a reduced fare. In order to enjoy free-of-charge or reduced-fare travels, you need to carry a relevant document which confirms that you are entitled to reduced-fare tickets.
