Initiative Phase: Fr each player: Taking the size f their frce at the start f the game excluding staff teams. This is the ttal number f bases, excluding cmmanders. Divide by 6 and rund up t the next whle number. This is the number f dice t be thrwn by that player in each initiative phase per turn. The minimum number f dice t be thrwn is 1. Thrw the dice and sum the pips. Add als the ttal number f units with 2 r mre hit tkens in the army and deduct frm the dice scre. Als add +2 fr each scut unit in cmmand radius f a Cmmander and if the scut unit des nt have any friendly ft r cavalry units frward f the scut unit's frnt edge. This frnt edge line is extended ut t any bard edge.

2 (Machine Guns and Ballt Bxes) Activatin Phase The player with initiative identifies all units they want try t activate. These are marked with a number f tkens. One tken equals ne activatin rle fr that specific unit. A unit may be allcated mre than ne tken. The ttal number f activatin tkens available each turn, is equal t the number f units n the bard, excluding cmmanders. The ther player then identifies all units they want t activate. Cmmanders are always autmatically activated. Once all units that the players wish t activate have been identified and tkens allcated. The players rll a D6 fr each allcated tkens. Starting with the player with initiative, t activate a unit. If a unit fails t activate then remve the tken. If a unit passes the activatin rll, then any surplus tkens allcated t that unit are discarded. Tkens are left t indicate units, which have been successfully activated. Activatin Rll Table: Regular Army Units: These units autmatically activate. 2

3 (Machine Guns and Ballt Bxes) Para-military Gvernment/Plice: These units activate n a 2+ rll. Guerrilla/Gangland/Irregular Militia: These units activate n a 3+. Grund Attack Aircraft: These are declared befre rlling the activatin check. Aircraft need t be activated n a 3+ rll during the activatin phase. Each aircraft srtie can nly be called nce per turn and must be activated that turn. An aircraft srtie can nly be rlled fr activatin fr a maximum f tw turns in any three turns. Refrm Phase: These represent battle-damaged units refrming and feeding fresh men int the battle line. Casualties are being mved t the rear and replacements being received. The refrm phase is cmpleted in the fllwing sequence f events: 1. A unit can have a single hit tken remved frm a fresh supprting unit being in range (2M). See supprt unit rule abve. Or a 2R unit may have a hit tken remved. N unit can have mre than 1 hit tken remved in any refrm phase. N unit if it has sustained any hit tkens may recver t less than 2 hit tkens. 3
