Tackaberry & Sons Construction at their tendered bid price excluding taxes for the North Crosby Patrol; South Crosby Patrol, North Leeds Patrol and the FrankvillePatrol as follows: North Crosby Patrol $15.23 $15.73 $16.23 South Crosby Patrol $13.88 $14.38 $14.88 North Leeds Patrol $14.92 $15.42 $15.92 Frankville Patrol $15.23 $15.73 $16.23 BACKGROUND Contract for the Three Year Supply of Winter Salt The County Roads Department contracts for the Supply of winter salt for the County Patrol Garages for the purpose of winter roadway maintenance. The duration of the contract is for the three winter seasons 2017/2018, 2018/2019and 2019/2020.The increase in the unit price of salt from 2016 to 2017 is 2.6% with a 1.6% increase for 2018/2019and a 1.6% increase for 2019/2020. Salt is accounted for as an inventory item and is only expensed at the time of use being charged to the applicable Patrol Garage. The material usage included in the report is an estimated amount based on 2016 actuals. The actual amount utilized in 2017/2018will be dependent upon the type and frequency of weather experienced. The 2017 Budget for sand and salt is $2,819,323 and includes costs for sand, salt, county labour, and County owned equipment. Three tenders (excluding taxes) were received as follows: Compass Minerals $88.20/tonne $89.62/tonne $91.06/tonne Cargill De Fey $89.22/tonne $90.69/tonne $92.41/tonne KSLSWindsor Salt $88.44/tonne $90.99/tonne $93.59/tonne

3 Page 3 COMMITTEEOF THE WHOLE Quotation for the Three Year Supplv of Winter Sand The County Roads Department contracts for the supply of winter sand for their respective County Patrol Garages as well as for the Township of Rideau Lakes Patrols of North Crosby, South Crosby and North Leeds and the Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley for the use of the FrankvillePatrol Dome. The duration of the contract is for the winter seasons 2017/2018, 2018/2019, 2019/2020. The increase in the unit price of sand from 2016 to 2017 is 0% with increases in the range from 0.71to 3.6% for the years 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 respectively.
