5 PACI RAS Overview PACI RAS system monitors the 500kV Transmission System within PG&E, detecting line outages and taking appropriate remedial actions based on the RAS tables The IRAS algorithm a load and generation dropping scheme is one possible mitigation action defined in the table. 8 Mosher 60kV substation 8 Is radially fed from Stagg substation with Mosher Sw 67 and Sw 75 normally open Mosher 60kV bus is reconfigured to a Ring Mosher substation is fed from both Stagg and Lockeford. The two 60kV CBs at Mosher for Lockeford #1 line termination is now included in part of PACI RAS. Controller signals are sent to Mosher 60kV and Stagg 230kV (CB212 and CB222 already part of LG5) simultaneously. To protect the system from severe thermal overloads. Telemetry is sent from Mosher to the controllers at SFCC (San Francisco Control Center) and VGCC (Vacaville Grid Control Center) and action sent from the SFCC and VGCC PACIRAS controllers to Mohser (in addition to Stagg) to shed load.
