3 4. Prosperita Kapsch Telematic Services supported annual ASECAP conference took place in Prague dealing with road traffic safety issues. The European Association of Operators of Tolled Road Infrastructures (ASECAP) presented excellent results achieved in to representatives of the EU, governments and transport operators and hauliers. On tolled motorways, Association members have achieved a reduction in lethal accidents by up to 50%, which is the target set by the European Commission. Some have even managed to go beyond that limit despite the fact that the road network and the total mileage increasing. The main players were also given an opportunity to discuss the Fourth Action Plan to improve road traffic safety in Europe.

6 8. and 9. Dopravní noviny Noticeable decrease in lethal accidents The annual conference Coordination & Cooperation: the pace in European road safety took place in Prague in March. Its organiser, the European Association of Operators of Tolled Road Infrastructures (ASECAP), presented results for at the conference. According to them, the numbers of lethal traffic accidents on tolled motorways have decreased by fifty per cent on average, corresponding to the target set by the European Commission We have represented the Czech Republic in ASECAP since 2007, and I see the outcomes of the conference that we hosted as very successful in terms of both professional quality and participation of many foreign experts and European Union representatives, said Karel Feix, General Director of Kapsch Telematic Services, after the dealings.
