12 Social significance of the project Private sector is the major consumer of heat in the city; The share of the private sector is 65,3% of the total consumption of heat and one of the main consumers of electric energy in the city The population of the city consumes 23% of the total electricity consumption The building stock of Saint-Petersburg is 1,737,000 apartments with the living space of 10,143,213 thousand square metres 12
