In accordance with the customer s information the coating of the test pieces has been prepared under the customer s supervision in accordance with the following table. 6 Page of 13 pages to the test report P E For the evaluation of cracks, blisters, or delaminations the characteristic values in accordance with DIN EN ISO 4628 ff Paints and varnishes - Evaluation of degradation of coatings - Designation of quantity and size of defects, and of intensity of uniform changes in appearance have been taken into account: Part 1: Part 2: Part 4: General introduction and designation system Assessment of the quantity of defects: 0 = none and 5 = dense Assessment of the size of defects: 0 = not visible and 5 = larger than 5 mm Assessment of the intensity of change: (gloss, colour, swelling, shrinking) 0 = unchanged and 5 = severe Assessment of degree of blistering 0(S0) = none and 5(S5) = dense (maximum size) blisters Assessment of degree of cracking 0 = not visible and 5 = many and large cracks 4.1 Abrasion resistance The test has been carried out on the steel panels which have been coated in accordance with clause 3 of this test report. The abrasion resistance was determined using the abrading wheel method in accordance with DIN EN ISO : with the following test parameters: Test device: Taber Abraser in accordance with ASTM D 4060 Abrading wheel: H 22 in accordance with DIN V Load: g The total rotational speed was 1000 in each case at a frequency f = 1 Hz. The determination of the abraded quantity was carried out after 1000 revolutions by weighing the slabs with an accuracy of 10 mg. The abrading wheels have been cleaned with pressurized air after 500 revolutions. 7 Page of 13 pages to the test report P E 4.2 Carbon dioxide permeability The determination of the carbon dioxide permeability was carried out in accordance with DIN EN : Paints and varnishes - Coating materials and coating systems for exterior masonry and concrete - Part 6: Determination of carbon dioxide permeability, method A - gravimetric method in an atmosphere with a CO 2 content of (10 ±0,5) vol. %. After the receipt of the test specimens in the Polymer Institut the test specimens have been stored for at least 7 days at standard conditions in accordance with DIN EN until testing. Subsequently, three test pieces (diameter 90 mm) have been drilled out of the free films in accordance with clause 3 of the test report. For the diffusion measurement the test specimens have been exposed in an atmosphere with a CO 2 content of (10 ± 0,5) % at 23 C. The atmosphere has been dried using phosphorus pentoxide. The containers with the test specimens have been weighed regularly to 0,1 mg until the change of mass was linear with time (steady state). At the same time the diffusion resistance to CO 2 of a reference foil was determined. The dry film thickness of the test specimens was determined by means of a light microscope and attached measuring table. Results The test specimens have been tested over a measuring period of 9 days. The mass differences of the weighings were below the level of significance of the measuring method for all of the systems. During measurement carried out at the same time on the reference foil no deviations from the specified tolerance were determined. 8 Page of 13 pages to the test report P E 4.3 Water-vapour permeability The determination of the water-vapour transmission properties was carried out in accordance with DIN EN ISO 7783: Paints and varnishes - Determination of water-vapour transmission properties - Cup method for free films with the humid condition method 23-50/95. A saturated ammonium dihydrogen phosphate solution was used for achieving a relative humidity of 93 % at 23 C. After the receipt of the test specimens in the Polymer Institut the test specimens have been stored for at least 7 days at standard conditions in accordance with DIN EN until testing. Subsequently, 3 test pieces (diameter 90 mm) have been drilled out of the free films in accordance with clause 3 of the test report. Result: The determination of the water-vapour permeability was carried out over a measuring period of 7 days. The evaluation corresponded to clause 8 of the standard mentioned above. Until testing the test specimens have been stored for at least 7 days under standard conditions in accordance with DIN EN Subsequently, the sides of the test specimens have been waterproofed by means of a transparent, solvent-free epoxy resin. The results are to be taken from the following table. 9 Page of 13 pages to the test report P E 4.5 Resistance to chemicals The test of the resistance to chemicals has been carried out in accordance with DIN EN 13529: Products and systems for the protection and repair of concrete structures - Test methods - Resistance to severe chemical attack on a fibre cement slab which has been coated in accordance with clause 3 of this test report. The duration of pre-storage of the coated test specimens under standard conditions in accordance with DIN was 7 days. The test has been carried out in the form of stressing the coatings with test liquid on one side without pressure. The test temperature was 23 C and the exposure time was 3 days. The test has been carried out in accordance with DIN EN ISO : Paints and varnishes - Rapid-deformation (impact resistance) tests - Part 1: Falling-weight test, large-area indenter with a drop energy of 4 Nm. 5 single tests have been carried out. Subsequently, a visual evaluation has been carried out under a microscope with 10 x magnification. Result: After the impact test with a drop energy of 4 Nm the coating Wecryl 124 showed no cracks or chipping.

11 Page of 13 pages to the test report P E 4.7 Pull-off test The pull-off test has been carried out in accordance with DIN EN 1542 Products and systems for the protection and repair of concrete structures - Test methods - Measurement of bond strength by pull-off : July For this, steel cylinders (Ø 50 ± 0,5 mm and thickness 30 mm) were adhered to the coating using a solvent-free two-component polyurethane adhesive. The pull-off tests have been carried out by means of a calibrated tensile tester of the Freundl company, Type Easy-M, under constant load increase of 100 N/s.
