8 Recessed Tree Surround for landscaped areas recessed lid to enable decorative block/slab infill for aesthetic finish Excellent tree root aeration & watering channels engineered construction prevents loading on the tree roots A r b o r P a v e r e c e s s e d Composition: Our range of tree surrounds provide excellent soil watering and aeration to the tree root system within a paved area. Such areas are predominantly pedestrianised and as such an aesthetic design with anti slip and anti trip considerations are of utmost importance. Trees without adequate aeration risk changes to the soil PH value by virtue of the formation of carbolic acids and soil bound essential nutrients can be locked in and denied to the root system resulting in the deterioration of the tree. Our tree surrounds are specifically designed to aid the healthy growth of trees in the built environment, design considerations include the prevention of any load from being transfered to the root ball and allow adequate aeration / watering capabilities which when combined with a suitable root barrier system provide an excellent tree habitat. Products are engineered & welded to guarantee maximum strength and durability under load which adds to the product whole life cost. Integrated lifting points are built-in to allow site handling and can be adapted into locking/lifting points. Tree pit irregation points are easily incorporated into our arboreous tree surrounds by way of an aesthetic laser profile grating which can be tailored for each project and also prevent small mammals and rats from taking refuse. 15 Composition: The primary component, the channel base is manufactured from the thermoplastic polymer polypropylene (PP). PP is a tough but lightweight material which helps reduce transportation costs/carbon footprint and is 100% recyclable. This minimises the impact on the environment helping you to maintain your sustainable objectives. The PP material has good mechanical and heat resistance as well as being resistant to chemical and atmospheric agents, acids, salts, alkali and oils. The use of PP for the channel base provides an extremely smooth surface, thus allowing the fluids to flow easier and avoid accumulation of deposits by being somewhat self-cleaning. The channels are defined by EN 1433 standards as type M which means that the channels are strengthened by a further support (concrete casting) to sustain the vertical and horizontal loads. Fitted to the channel is a galvanised steel frame which provides the system with excellent protection against regular traffic. The system is secured by way of 8 locking points per metre throughout the range and can be secured further by utilising a series of galvanised steel anchors which offer increased anchorage with the immediate environment. This makes the system an ideal product for heavy duty areas where articulated vehicles turn and fork-lift trucks operate etc. The channel is finished with your choice of a recyclable ductile iron gratings which are locked into position with a choice of stainless steel locking options. Load classifications: Liberty-Drain type-m channel system is fully CE certified to BS EN 1433:2002 and can support load class performance up to and including F900. Load Class C kn - Suitable for pedestrian precincts, cycle ways, car parks and drives, service stations (cars), hospitals, sports & leisure facilities and areas with slow-moving light commercial vehicles. Load Class D kn - also suitable for light industrial units & areas with slow moving heavy traffic (not public roads). Load Class F kn - Suitable for all heavy duty applications particularly where fork-lifts and articulated vehicles operate. KD51CPL and KD50DP products also feature a mesh design to accomodate pedestrian and wheeled traffic such as pushchairs, shopping trollies, bicycles and small wheeled traffic in addition to heavy duty vehicular traffic. KD58DH and KD50DHG are both client designed examples to suit specific requirements and are available to pre-order. These products are particularly suited for town centres, supermarkets, shopping centres, & sports arenas etc. Products are manufactured to BS EN124 load class C250 or D400 loading unless specified and are BSI Kitemarked for third party assurance of quality. Products are non-rock and feature captive hinge for increased stability and security. Products may be locked with stainless steel bolts for additional security upon special request. 19 Composition: Our Access Covers units are manufactured from laser profiled steel sections which ensures the highest degree of accuracy and consistency. Sections are mechanically fitted & welded to guarantee maximum strength and durability under load which adds to the product whole life cost. The cover surrounds are tapered inwardly at the base which provides adequate clearance for removal of the assembly from the frame when in location. Integrated locking /lifting points are incorporated into the corners of each cover to provide increased strength during the lifting operation. Where necessary the cover assemblies are underbraced suitably to achieve higher loading capacities and significantly reduce deformation under load. 21 The Slide-Pave access covers have been specifically developed for single person access to below ground chambers in areas that have pedestrian traffic but also may receive vehicluar access. The smart design allows a product which would normally be beyond the manual lifting limit to be operated by a single user by pivoting one end of the cover and sliding it backwards and out of its frame. This simple but effective design allows quick easy access to the otherwise hidden chamber thus reducing the risk of manual lifting but also vastly reducing the amount of time on project. The Slide-Pave range includes within it three product groups: 7000 series, Transport for London (TfL) and British Telecommunication (BT) products. The 7000 series is available in any of the size and loadings depicted in the following matrix on the next page. BT products are BSI Kitemarked for third party assurance of conformity and like TfL have strict design specifications. As a result they are only available in the stated sizes, loadings and dimensions as detailed on the next page.
