3 Introduction Eccles (UK Foundries FE) Ltd has a group experience of some 77 years in the manhole cover industry. All products are manufactured in accordance with the industry standard BS EN 124: 1994 which replaced BS 497 Part 1: This standard lays down stringent requirements for the manufacture of manhole covers and gully gratings with a clear opening size of up tp 1000m. Certification requires regular audit testing of products in accordance with EN 124. Eccles also carry out random testing in-house of products so as to ensure their continued quality. Our offices, works and storage yard in Walsall, located at the heart of the Midlands Motorway network, allows us to carry large stocks of covers and gratings. Our technical team are working constantly to meet market requirements and demands to extend our range. 1

4 Quality Certification The range of products certified by SGS and BSI, UKAS Accredited Bodies, are fully in accordance with Highway Agency approval and are included in the manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works.
