Now that all the pre-orders for LifeSavers Wint O Green Tank Cars have been delivered, we have a few left in both Lional O Gauge and American Flyer S Gauge that we d like to offer to our members before we put them on our web site. If you d like an additional car or just forgot to order one, here s the info. Bruce Lazarus will bring the cars to the July 14th T.T.O.S. Southwestern Division Meet. By picking up and paying for them at the Meet, you save he $10 shipping charge!!! While prices are already rising on E-Bay, they aren t at the T.T.O.S. Southwestern Division Meet. With only 3 O Gauge and 12 S Gauge cars left, these should sell out. All the cars are Mint in the box. Wrigley Co. to produce a LifeSavers caboose to tie up the series of cars. In Lionel O Gauge, we will offer a LifeSaver Smoking Bay Window Caboose, with a five flavor graphics theme. The American Flyer version will have a Flashing Strobe Light over the rear caboose door instead of smoke. While we had expected to offer the American Flyer Bay Window Caboose in a smoking version also, Lionel LLC is not able to supply smoke units that fit in the S gauge cabooses at this time. 2 Tribute to Larry Kirk Long time T.T.O.S. Southwestern Division member Larry Kirk #3827 passed away December 30, 2012 following a long battle with health concerns for a number of years. Larry and his wife Phylys De De were always willing to lend a hand at monthly meets and at Cal- Stewart until health concerns interferred with volunteering. They last cheerfully worked the front desk with great care at the monthly meets held at the Glendale Auditorium. They both enjoyed greeting everyone, making visitors feel welcome, answering quesions, giving out information about Southwestern Division, and signing up new members. Larry and Phylys De De Kirk. Southwestern Division Meet when a Southern California Horseless Carriage Club Sunday tour paid a visit to our Toy Train Meet as part of its stops. The result was that in addition to his hobby of horseless carriages and other antique automobiles, he added the hobby of toy trains. He joined T.T.O.S. Southwestern Division and attended monthly meets and Cal-Stewart. He ran trains at home and enjoyed bringing his grandchildren to the Membership Appreciation picnics to ride the trains at LA Live Steamers. Our prayers and thoughts are with his wife Helga and the family.
