Distribution Fuseboards The CAMASTER range of Distribution Fuseboards are available in A, A and A outgoing ways, utilising the CAMASTER Fuse Banks which accommodate bolted tag fuse links to BS88: Parts 1 and ; The Fuseboards fully comply with the requirements of BS586: Part ; 1989 and can be ordered as factory built assemblies in Single Pole and Neutral or Triple Pole and Neutral configurations. The A rated fuse holder is available in two physical sizes. The traditional design being complemented by a compact design which offers the installer a fuse holder rated at A but in a A dimensional package. Enclosures for both types have the same physical dimensions for each configuration. CAMASTER Fuseboards are offered with the following features: Thirty fuseboard configurations are covered by only twelve enclosure sizes. Fully insulated and shrouded busbars provide complete internal personnel protection against direct electric shock. Removable phase Fuse Banks for ease of installation. Generously dimensioned plain detachable gland plates, top and bottom. Enclosure door removable and reversible by the use of easily extractable formed hinge pins and a dual set of hinge brackets. Fully shrouded incoming phase termination which can be rotationally positioned to accept cable entry from any direction. Neutral and Earth Terminal Bars providing termination for each outgoing way. In addition to the Earth Terminal Bars, a reversible internal/external M8 bonding bolt is provided, complying with the sixteenth edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671). All phases are clearly marked with each out going way numbered. A self adhesive circuit identification label is provided. Enclosures are manufactured from rust proofed sheet steel, finished in an attractive durable epoxy polyester powder coating stoved to degrees Centigrade. The textured finish is a modern light grey (RAL 7). The Fuseboards have a protection standard classification IP to BS EN697-1; 199. Available also to a higher specification of IP55. The fuse carriers are fitted with a Cam for ease of removal from the Fuse Bases allowing significantly improved contact pressure between fuse carrier contacts and base contacts, with a corresponding enhanced electrical performance level. This design overcomes a major problem associated with most British Standard style Fuse Holders manufactured world-wide, which have to compromise between the difficulties of Fuse Carrier removal from base and contact pressure achieved. The fuse holders feature a unique channel and guide arrangement which prevents any tilting of the Fuse Carrier when it is being inserted or removed and so eliminates likelihood of inadvertent contact with live metal. The unique design of the Carriers allows ganging to be readily achieved by the use of standard accessories. This provides improved safety related to isolation and protection of Pole and 3 Pole electrical circuits by ensuring that the correctly related poles are removed at the same time. To facilitate circuit identification, the fuse carrier has a marking label.

5 CAMLOC H.R.C. Distribution Fuseboards CAMLOC is a unique Distribution Fuseboard system embodying a family of innovative components. The main Pan Assembly is fitted with either an integral Switch Disconnector or direct connection facility. The system has a fully shrouded centrally mounted Busbar arrangement rated at A. This is designed for plug-in fuse holders which take the offset blade tag fuse links to BS88:Part 6; A range of accessories completes the package. CAMLOC is an advanced design of Distribution Fuseboard. The optimum features of the high performance HRC Fuse and the flexible layout of m.c.b. Distribution Boards have been combined to create a fuseboard incorporating the following features: Fuseboards successfully tested for short circuit through fault to 5kA. The Fuse Holders rated at A, A and A have the same external dimensions. Therefore, mixed rating capability can be readily achieved. The Fuse Holders have special 'Z' stab connectors so that they can be 'plugged in' directly onto the central Busbar. Fuseboards available with integral Switch Disconnectors of either 5A or A rating. A fully shrouded A Busbar system is centrally mounted on a Pan Assembly. The unique design of fuse holder prevents higher rated fuse carriers from being fitted in lower rated fuse bases. Neon clip-in indicators are available providing clear location and status of fuse links which have operated due to fault conditions. All Phase, Neutral and Earth outgoing ways are numbered for added safety. Neutral and Earth connections are provided for each outgoing way. 10 Compact Switch Fuse & Switch Disconnectors A versatile range of reliable and easy to install Surface/Wallmounting Compact Switch Disconnector Fuse and Switch Disconnector units for distribution and motor circuit protection applications. Introduced for the busy Electrical Contractor guaranteeing quality, reliability and test approvals. Switchfuses are available in,, and Amp units at 15 Volts ac, Single Pole and Neutral; Triple Pole and Neutral. Switch Disconnectors are available in,, and 5 Amp units at 15 Volts ac, Triple Pole and Triple Pole & Neutral. PERFORMANCE: Designed and tested in accordance with the requirements of BS519; 1977 and IEC97-3; 199 The Switches are ASTA certified up to 5kA at 15V ac with the appropriate BS88 Fuse Link (Through Fault and Making on to Fault). OPERATION: The Switch is operated through a moulded front rotary handle, which provides completely reliable ON/OFF indication and padlocking facilities in the OFF position. In the ON position the handle is interlocked with the operating shaft to prevent unauthorised entry. The compact switches ensure making and breaking on load and secure breaking of a low voltage electrical circuit in various heavy duty applications. CABLING: Enclosure designed with compact high performance internal components, providing excellent and spacious cabling facilities enabling incoming and outgoing cables to be accommodated in a variety of combinations at the discretion of the installer. 12 Fuse Switch Disconnector A range of Fuse Switch Disconnectors designed and tested in accordance with BS EN697-3; 199. The triple pole and neutral units are available with current ratings of A, A, A, A, A, 315A, A, 5A and A. Single pole switched neutral, double pole and four pole (switched neutral) versions are also available from ratings of A upwards. All units are designed for surface/wall mounting applications. Rated Fused Short Circuit Current (through fault and making-onto-fault) 5V ac. Successfully tested for a Utilisation Category 5V ac. Load breaking switching on both sides of Fuse Link, ensuring Fuse Link replacement is absolutely safe. Fuse Links stationary during operation ensuring long electrical and mechanical life. 16 NH Style Fuse Switch Disconnectors The Base of the NH Fuse Switch Disconnector is completely insulated and touch protected. It consists of thermically stable self extinguishing material. There are no metal parts except the current carrying contact system. The contact system is torsion resistant, the metal parts of the fuse switch disconnector are corrosion resistant, the copper contacts are nickel galvanised, with stainless steel springs. The requirements exceed those demanded in applicable standards (IEC, VDE, OVE etc.) The protection cover, produced as one-piece or twopiece, depending on size, is snapped into the switch base. Upper as well as lower touch protection cover can be sealed and protected against unauthorised opening. (Size and ). 17 NH Vertical Fuse Switch Disconnector A versatile range of Fuse Switch Disconnector configured in a vertical arrangement incorporating a switch operating cover which is designed to ensure positive operation. The VLB range accommodates NH' DIN dimension fuse links in sizes ' 1,, and 3. Single or triple pole switching available, with either foldable or fixed handles. Direct mounting onto busbars; 185mm or 1mm. The VLB can be mounted direct onto mm busbars or 6mm busbars by the use of an adapter. Insulated construction providing touch protection. Assembly The fuse base is isolated and touch protected. Manufactured in a strengthened glass fibre material which is self extinguishing and free of halogens. The switch operating cover is also manufactured from strengthened glass fibre, thermically high stable, self extinguishing and free of halogens. A positive action is ensured when closing the switch cover into the base. The contact system, with stainless steel springs, is corrosion resistant as well as torsion resistant. The copper contacts are nickel galvanised (silver plated contacts are available to special order). In the ON position the switch cover lock arrests the cover to the fuse base. In the OFF position the cover can be removed to facilitate the replacement of fuse links. Fuse links can be viewed through windows in the cover. These moveable windows are equipped with test holes to check the status of the fuse links or circuit voltage.
