The kit includes a platform assembly, deck lift foot pedal, transport latching mechanism and instruction sheet (see attached). Platform kits and serial number tags will be mailed separately. Dealers are encouraged to complete upgrades upon receipt of both the kit and serial number tag, to prevent machines getting to the field without serial number tags. Dealer Pro-Stance Foot Platform Kit Promo To help move current dealer inventory of 2012 Pro-Stance models (serial numbers below 20,000), dealers can receive a free platform upgrade kit for each unsold unit. Dealers must complete the attached form indicating the model and serial number of the unsold unit/s in their inventory. 4 REMOVAL 1. Stop engine, remove key, set parking brake and wait for hot parts to cool. 2. Make note of the model and serial number of the unit receiving the kit. 3. Contact Ariens Company Technical Service at to request a replacement model/serial number decal. 4. Disconnect negative ( ) and then positive battery cables from battery.carefully pull the cables through the holes in the platform bracket and move to the side.. Remove two hex bolts retaining platform mounting pins. Support platform and remove two platform mounting pins and platform. See Figure Remove four rear hex nuts and bolts retaining the skid plates to the platform mount. See Figure 3. Remove four rear skid plate mounting hex bolts. Figure 3 7. 5 . Remove hardware retaining foot pedal and foot pedal latch and remove pedal and pedal latch. See Figure.. Remove four round head square neck bolts from the front of the skid plates on both sides. Remove hardware retaining fan guard plates and remove fan guard plates. See Figure 6. NOTE: The fan guards must be removed to gain access to the front hex nuts retaining the skid plates. 6 12. Remove hardware retaining pad mount assembly and remove pad mount assembly. See Figure 9. Pad Assembly Figure 9. Remove hardware retaining pad to pad mount and remove pad mount. See Figure. INSTALLATION 1. Install existing pad to new pad mount (item 12) using four / x 1" hex bolts (item 2), lock washers (item 26), flat washers (item 27). 2. Install pad assembly onto unit using two / x 1" hex bolts (item 2) and two hex nuts (item ). 3. Install new left (item 4) and right (item 3) skid plates at front using two 3/ x 1" round head square neck bolts (item 22) and two 3/" locking nylon flange nuts (item 23) on each side. Do not fully tighten. 4. Install platform bracket assembly (item 1) to unit using eight 3/ x 1" hex bolts (item ), 3/ flat washers (item ) and eight 3/" locking nylon flange nuts (item 23).. Attach rear of left and right skid plates to platform bracket assembly using two 3/ x 1" hex bolts (item ), two 3/" flat washers (item ) and two 3/" locking nylon flange nuts (item 23) on each side. Fully tighten front and rear skid plate hardware. 6. Reinstall fan guards on both sides. 7. Install foot pedal assembly and latch assembly using assembly drawing in Figure. 7 . Install platform latch using assembly drawing in Figure 12 9 Existing Bolt Figure Install platform assembly (item 2) to platform bracket using two locking pins (item 6). Retain locking pins using two 3/ x 1/2" hex washer head screws (item 7). See Figure. Install replacement model/serial number decal. 6 2 Figure 7.
