3 Industrial Dust Filtering and Removal Systems FEATURES: AFCO filter units are used to filter dust produced from heat treatment to metals and processing compound materials, wood byproducts and/or carbon fibre, for manual stations and/or automatic machines. Other optionals can be added later to complete the installation, such as: Inverter Discharge with tip top valve rotary cell worm screw Specific filter medium dimensioned in type and shape depending on the dust to be eliminated IR spark detection/extinguishing system Typetested antiexplosion doors PHOTO 01 With these optionals the unit is ideal for numerous different uses. The most suitable models are studied and proposed for each type of dust, and various alternatives can be produced. 5 Industrial Dust Filtering and Removal Systems The module elements 2 and 3 can be overlapped and placed side by side, to create filter configurations up to a capacity of m3/hour and above. Each module can be coupled to the hopper with legs and top dust intake plenum. The holes on the sides allow side connections to separate or common chambers. With this option, there is just a single emission into the atmosphere and it allows treating different types of dusts, keeping them separate. There is a rectangular, type tested, compressed air tank at the back with a membrane solenoid valve of 1 (2 or 3 depending on the module) with standard 110V 50Hz solenoid (standard)(24 Vdc 24V/50Hz on request). EXAMPLES OF PLACING AFCOM ALONGSIDE OR OVERLAPPED (MODULE 2) The openings on the clean air side can be coupled to closing panels or nozzles prepared for connection to an extractor fan. The filters are made by a leading manufacturer and comprise polyester nonfabric fibre filter cartridges each one with a filtering surface of 20m2. Different types of cartridges can be used, depending on the dusts being filtered. Special attention has been paid to safety: the side openings allow applying typetested controlled deformation antiexplosion panels. The AFCOM filter can be completed by a series of components: Hopper with supporting legs, bucket and trolley with wheels Rear nozzle for extraction fan Adequate size extraction fan (our engineering office will help you choose the most suitable solution) Rear and side closing panels Typetested antiproof panel (pressurised and/or depressurised) Spark detection and extinguishing unit for dust intake pipes Gravity valve on dust intake Top plenum with adjustable nozzle Control unit for regulating automatic cartridge cleaning (digital differential pressure switch) Electric panel with outlets for the motor and power for the cartridge cleaning unit Electric panel with inverter (optimised energy consumption) Silenced casing for the extraction fan Tubular silencer on the extraction fan delivery Bolt and gasket kit for the couplings Stainless steel finish Special finishes.
