Utilities : a) Power : V, 3Ph, A.C. Supply b) Fuel : I) Oil. 2) LPG. Description : Rotary Reactor Shell : The Reactor shell is fabricated from SS 304 material 10mm thick. The shell is suitably reinforced and padded at required locations. It is provided with specially manufactured spirals of intermittent style to increase the retention time of the material inside the shell to facilitate complete process of the material during transfer from the charging end to the discharge end. The rotary shell is having perfect alignment with the support rollers and the welded construction. Furnace Body : The furnace body is fabricated form mild steel plate of 10 swg., in the rectangular form. This furnace chamber is divided into two portions, viz. top cover and bottom body, for easy access to rotary reactor shell and ease in maintenance and lining. The furnace and shell is having a sealing arrangement with collar at the opening of the rotary shell pass through on either ends.

3 Discharge End Breeching : The stationery chamber at the discharge end of the rotary shell is called a breeching. The breeching is supported on the common base frame and it is of double wall construction, with ceramic fibre sandwiched between two walls. The material of construction of the breeching is carbon steel on the outside and SS 304 on the inside. The breeching is having outlet chute to discharge product material and for gas outlet. Common Base Frame : The total furnace body, rotary shell, support roller assemblies, drive assembly and discharge end breeching is mounted on a common base frame. The base frame assembly can be mounted on a load cell for sensing variations in weight. Shell / Screw Feeder Breeching Sealing : There is a gland type mechanical sealing arrangement provided between the breeching - rotary shell at the discharge end and Screw Feeder rotary shell at the charging end to prevent gas leakage or the entry of fresh air Tyres & Support Rollers Assembly : The rotary reactor is provided with basically two major rider rings on extreme ends. These rider rings are totally machined and true for all faces. These are fixed on rotary shell with the help of supporting arms. The MOC of rider ring is EN 8 material. The rider ring locations are properly engineered to take the load of the rotary shell with the material. There are 2 thrust roller assemblies on the one rider ring to hold and guide the rotation and prevent the shell from sliding down during rotation.

4 Drive Mechanism : The girth gear is provided for drive to the rotary shell and is mounted on the rotary shell at the charging end side. The girth gear is having a mounting with supporting arms. The drive system is consist of electric motor, worm reduction gear, heavy duty couplings, pinion, to transfer the power to the main girth gear. The rotation of rotary dryer / reactor drive is controlled with variable frequency drive, for getting the step less speed variation control from 0.2 rpm to 1 rpm. Material Feeding System : The material will be fed inside the rotary shell by means of a screw conveyor. At the inlet of the screw conveyor, a nozzle and a hopper is provided. The material of construction of the screw conveyor and hopper is SS 304. Combustion system : A North American combustion system is used to supply heat to the reactor. Burners are mounted on the side wall of the furnace body. A pumping and filtering unit is used to supply the fuel and a blower will supply the required air to all the three burners. Control and isolation valves for air and oil is used to get the right proportion of air and oil supply to the burner and for its control. The Combustion system is consist of the following components : 1) 3 No Dual Fuel Burners. 2) 1 No Combustion Blower. 3) 3 Nos Oil Sensitrol valves. 4) 3 No Air Butterfly Valves. 5) 3 Nos Modulating Motors Coupled to Air B/F Valves. 6) 3 Nos Oil Solenoid Valve. 7) 3 Sets of Oil isolation valves. 8) 3 Sets of Air isolation valves. 9) 1 No Duplex Oil Pumping and Filtering Unit. Temperature Control and Monitoring : The furnace temperature will be controlled in all 3 zones by way of controlling the fuel to the burners of all the zones. It will be controlled automatically by a thermocouple and P.I.D temperature controller in conjunction with air motorized damper and air/oil ratio regulator. Temperature attainment and control will be achieved by a closed loop system, which is described below:

Pilot burners Nos. U.V. Sensors Nos. Solenoid Valves for gas pilot Nos. Ignition transformer Nos. Sequence controller Nos. Air isolation valve Nos. Gas isolation valve. The auto ignition system, will primarily atomize the firing of the main burner in a specified sequence. It will also include monitoring of the main flame, as well as a pilot flame. In the event of flame failure due to any reason, the sequence controller will have to be reset to start the sequence of auto Ignition. Sequence of Auto Ignition and Flame Monitoring :

6 The firing of the burner will be automatic. An Ignition transformer will create a spark, to fire a pilot burner. After a stable flame is reached, the solenoid of the main burner will be energized and oil / gas will flow causing ignition of the main burner. The sequence of firing and monitoring will be done by a sequence controller. In event of flame failure, the sequence controller will shut off the solenoid for main and pilot burners which can be reset. The sequence of operation for Auto ignition of main burner is shown on the next page: Ignition Transformer sparks Gas Solenoid valve for pilot burner opens. U V Sensor detects flame U V Sensor monitors flame of main burner Insulation : The furnace top covers are lined with Ceramic fibre modules. The bottom chamber of the furnace will be lined with refractory bricks of various grades to minimize the heat loss and ensure lowest shell temperature of the furnace body.

7 Electrical Panel : An Electrical panel for the Rotary reactor is of free standing type, made of sheet metal cubicles, dust and vermin proof, suitable for housing all the necessary switch gears like, incoming switch fuse unit, voltmeter, indicating lamps, fuses, switches, contactors, A.C. variable drive control and temperature control instruments required for the proper control of all the electrical equipment for the complete system. The panel is having terminal strips for connecting incoming and outgoing cables, with proper identification. The panel is completely powdercoated and shop wired before assembly of the switchgear. The Electrical panel is consist of : a) ON /OFF switch fuse unit. b) VAF meter. c) D.O.L. Starter and VFD for rotary reactor shell. d) D.O.L. Starter and VFD for screw feeder. e) 8 point Digital Temperature Scanner. f) 3 Nos., PID Temperature Controllers. g) 3 Nos., Safety ON /OFF Temperature Controllers. h) D.O.L. Starter for Combustion Blower. i) D.O.L. Starter for Product Screw feeder. j) D.O.L. Starter for Pumping and Filtering Unit. k) 3 Nos. A Variable Frequency Drive is provided to the screw, to have step less variation in the speed, to have variations in the retention time of the material in the cooler.

10 Painting : All Carbon Steel and other relevant components of the Rotary Reactor and Cooler is suitably painted with two coats of heat resisting Silicon based Aluminium paint. Assembly and Cold trials : The Rotary reactor and Cooler is assembled in the workshop and cold trials of rotation will be taken before dispatch. Our scope of Supply : 1. Supply of Equipment. 2.
