Conceived for easy accessibility, all to-be maintained components are located in the right position for easy and fast replacement in case of need. Reduced connections and almost absence of piping system for fewer loading losses and energy saving. Premium efficiency electric motor 2 IE3 for energy saving and for an environmental-friendly usage. Transmission by belt longitudinal 3 ribbing to achieve high power transmission and high linear speed and pulley made in cast iron, guarantee a long life and a high yield in time. 4 Anti-vibration base. Sliding plate with manual 5 tensioner granting an optimal belts tensioning, reducing the belts wear and eventual vibrations. This system allows also quick and safe belt maintenance. The intake or unloader valve 6 controls the compression volume of the screw compressor. It is actuated by an hydraulic unloader piston. The unloader piston mechanism makes use of the pressure differential between the oil inlet and the outlet of the piston, with pressure reversal being controlled by a solenoid valve. The screw compressor unit is provided with a power source on/off control switch and a potentiometer which correlates movement of the hydraulic unloader piston with electric resistance, making the system suitable for automatic and remote control. 7 Separator tank. 8 Oil level Drain cock. The traditional way of controlling a compressor is by running the motor at full speed and then stopping it when the air has been compressed to the correct pressure. A variable speed drive (VSD) or INVERTER control reduces the energy output of a compressor, by controlling the speed of the motor, ensuring it runs no faster than necessary. Available on Fire and Mig series Direct energy savings of 15-35% can be achieved through lower consumption at partial loads. Accurate control also means that lower discharge pressures can be used. Reducing system pressure from 7 to 6 bar, for example, reduces energy consumption by 7%. Other benefits include stable system pressure through rapid reaction to pressure changes, typically within 0.1 bar; smooth starting which means no peak current penalties, less stress on mechanical parts and unlimited start-ups; and a fixed power factor. A variable speed drive (VSD) or INVERTER system is one of the most effective ways of saving energy, frequently providing energy savings of 30% or more in compressor applications.
