1 Accessories

All items, both with and without the Ex symbol, are suitable for standard cleaning requirements. All items with the Dust Ex symbol are suitable for use in hazardous dust areas, in zones 20, 21 and 22.

Hoses to TRBS 2153: 1. A conductive hose is a hose with a resistance of less than 10 3 Ω/m. 2. A partially conductive hose is a hose with a resistance of more than 10 3 Ω/m and less than 10 6 Ω/m. 3. An insulating hose is a hose with a resistance of more than 10 6 Ω/m.

In potentially explosive areas, conductive or partially conductive hoses should be used, as insulating hoses are unsuitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

DIN EN distinguishes different designs of conductive hoses, designating them as M-hoses or Ω-hoses. - An M-hose has electrically conductive wire inserts. - The inserts enable conductivity if they are connected to the flange or the hose coupling. - The result of the test of the resistance of M-hoses over the whole length between fittings should not be more than 100 Ω. - Where processes generate large charges, a dangerous build-up of charge cannot be ruled out. - A Ω-hose is made of conductive or partially conductive material. - It can also be equipped with galvanised steel inserts. - The result of the test of the resistance of Ω-hoses over the whole length between fittings should not be more than 10 6 Ω. It is preferable to use Ω-hoses for vacuuming up flammable liquids. 2
