The mdificatins t the listed equipment in this manual are the nly mdificatins permitted t this equipment as received frm the SLSNZ Apprved Supplier/Manufacturer. ARANCIA 3.8 m SOFT HULL INFLATABLE Transm bracket height will nt exceed 430mm (factry standard). Measurement will be taken frm the keel centre pint f the lwer transm t the tp f the transm bracket. 3 ENGINES Mercury/Mariner 30 MH Yamaha 30 GMS/ HMHS All Engines must have SLSNZ seals intact and the pwerhead must be in riginal cnditin i.e. a pwerhead that has been dismantled fr repair is n lnger eligible fr use in SLSNZ Cmpetitin. (Figure 5) Figure 5 Airbx may be drilled r relieved n the back but nt n the frnt r sides. Thermstat may be drilled r remved. Accessry Lighting Cil may be remved. Spark Plug Cnnectr Cap/HT Leads may be replaced under nrmal maintenance with suitable substitutes. Water Pump Tell Tale Outlet may be relcated t the ppsite side Engine Munts may be replaced with slid substitutes Ignitin Timing will be set t the Manufacturers specificatin Apprved Mercury/Mariner Stp Switch may be fitted. (Part N M) Stp Switch/Buttn may be relcated t Fuel Baynet Cnnectin psitin Fuel Baynet Cnnectin may be relcated t the Stp Switch/Buttn psitin Pull Start Handle will be as supplied with the Engine with a maximum 130mm extensin beynd the cwling cver exit. 4 Clamp Screws will be as supplied with the Engine. The use f spinner type handles is permitted prviding the design and functin f the handle is adequate t allw sufficient leverage t secure the engine t the transm. The frnt, back and sides f the cwling cver must remain as supplied by SLSNZ cmplete with Manufacturers decals. 6 ENGINE SAFETY STROP Quay Marine Bat Chandlery The engine safety strp must be SLSNZ apprved and must nt be mdified in any way (including the use f heat shrink/tape/velcr etc.) Figure 13 The safety strp must be fitted with a type 2470 (70mm x 31mm) stainless steel spring snap hk (Figure 13) The safety strp may be supprted by the engine gear lever at the start f the Assembly Rescue Event FUEL SLSNZ will prvide fuel (petrl/utbard 2 strke il) fr cmpulsry use in all engines cmpeting in SLSNZ Cmpetitin Fuel will be BP 91 ctane petrl r equivalent and high-grade mineral utbard il FUEL BLADDER Cvertex: 20 Litre Nauta: 25 Litre Cvertex:15 Litre Wilsc: 20 Litre Fuel Bladder Clips. The type 2470 (70mm x 31mm) stainless steel spring snap hk is the nly SLSNZ apprved clip fr use at SLSNZ Cmpetitin. 7 The fuel bladder must be fitted with (4) type 2470 (70mm x 31mm) stainless steel spring snap hks independently attached with rpe t the eyelets r thrugh the carry handles Rpe type and diameter is nt restricted but the rpe length will be determined by allwing minimum travel f the fuel bladder frm its designated psitin The rpe must be f sufficient strength t retain the fuel bladder during all maneuvers The rpe may be supprted by the use f tape/heat shrink but this must nt encrach nt the clip Clips must be attached t the fuel bladder in such a way as t allw a 180-degree rtatin between the clip and the fuel bladder attachment pint (Figure 15 and 16) Figure 15 - Cvertex Figure 16 Nauta Fuel Line / Baynet Cnnectin The fuel line may have up t 100mm f supprt where it cnnects t the baynet. The measurement is inclusive f the baynet. Any supprt must nt encrach nt the baynet. (Figure 17) Figure 17
