2 5-AXIS VERTICAL MACHINING CENTER In 2002, Kitamura Machinery Co., Ltd. developed a 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center Mytrunnion which guaranteed the unexplored realm of 1 micron positioning accuracy, installing over 100 units. Kitamura now introduces to market the Mytrunnion-1, a more compact version of the Mytrunnionyet still having the capability of heavy cutting along with high-speed and high precision capabilities. The Mytrunnion-1 is the next generation Machining Center combining Machining, Grinding and Turning processes in a single set-up. The Mytrunnion-1 incorporates an A-Axis Tilting trunnion table and a rotary C-Axis along with X, Y & Z axis. The machine is capable of 5 axis simultaneous control to machine multiple surfaces in a single set-up, turning Maximum 350mm (13.78 ) diameter 20kg (44lbs) weight parts at 1,000min -1. This allows for heavier loads and guarantees a silent rotational movement. Elimination of Spindle Heat Displacement Heat displacement of the spindle is minimized by the adoption of the spindle oil-cooling unit, oil-air unit and by the additional Intelligent Advanced Control (Automatic Thermal Displacement Compensation System).
