The purpose of these cables is to transmit the signal from the sensor/detector to the analyzer. dditionally, the cabling provides for electrical input to the heater assembly within the detector for cell temperature control. Shells: Shell components are fabricated from high grade aluminum alloy. They are electrically conductive, and have a cadmium plate fnish with an olive drab chromate post treatment for added corrosion resistance. The alignment notch is located at the 12 o clock position. Contacts: Contacts are solder type and are machined from a copper alloy with a silver plated fnish. Size 16 and 12 contacts incorporate a closed entry design. Inserts: Inserts are made of resilient neoprene. This offers a high dielectric strength, high arc resistance and resistance to vibration.
