Qualified to, the bayonet mechanism provides fast and easy coupling, especially when the connector is situated in an awkward or hard to reach location. nvironmental protection to IP67 levels provides additional reliability and the flexibility to specify these rugged connectors in harsh applications such as in machine tools and factory automation. Supplied crimp contacts are gold-plated copper alloy. 4 Introduction igh Performance rimp ontact ayonet-lock Signal onnectors (MIL Type) Glenair s qualified miniature bayonet-lock connector series is based on the MIL Series I standard, and shares the same insert arrangements, shell dimensions, supported contacts and electrical performance ratings as MIL and Glenair s commercial equivalent product line, the IPT S. The VG point bayonet coupling mechanism provides easy mating and positive locking resistance to vibration, shock, and other connector de-coupling forces in general duty and environmental interconnect systems such as military and commercial aircraft, medical equipment, industrial controls, factory robotics, intrumentation and other general electronic applications. omponent Materials connectors are available in aluminum alloy and are supplied standard with an olive green cadmium finish IW QQ-P-416. Resilient closed entry inserts provide outstanding dielectric performance and environmental protection. Individual wire sealing grommets elevate the environmental protection rating to IP67. onductive metal shells and plating provide a reliable ground plane for MI applications when connectors are combined with appropriate shield termination backshells.
