This addendum, as integrated with the original specification documents, shall form the specification documents. The noted revisions shall take precedence over previously issued specification documents and shall become part of this contract. 3 SECTION II TECHNICAL PROVISIONS Articulating Aerial Device with Line Body with Accessories (Minimum Platform Height 61.2 ft.) 1 GENERAL A. Bids are requested for the purchase of seven new and unused articulating aerial devices with line body and accessories, similar to a Versalift VO 460 to be installed on City supplied/owned new and unused International 7600 (SF667) 6x4 regular cab chassis per the following technical provisions. B. The chassis complete technical specifications will be provided to the successful bidder. C. The chassis will be drop shipped to successful bidder s production location. D. The full specifications for the aerial device and body must be provided with the bid. E. Bidders must provide detailed CAD drawings (minimum C (size 17 X 22 ) for body configuration and accessory placement for the unit being offered with their submittal. F. Transportation costs to deliver the completed unit to Tacoma Public Utilities must be included as part of the bidder's price submission. G. It is the responsibility of the successful bidder to assure that the completed unit(s) arrives safely, without damage, and that the manufacturer s recommendations and City of Tacoma requirements have been strictly adhered to while in contractor s possession and during transit. H. Unit shall be delivered F.O.B. Destination to Tacoma Public Utilities, Attn: Fleet Services, 3628 South 35 th Street (rear), Tacoma, Washington, complete and ready for immediate placement into service. I. There must be a prebuild meeting or teleconference after the contract has been awarded. The date and time is to be determined after the award but prior to the start of production. At this meeting vendor must present final CAD drawings (minimum C (size 17 X 22 ) with final and detailed information regarding to body configuration and accessory placement for the unit. J. The vendor shall contact Mr. Dean Ainardi, Fleet Specialist, at (253) prior to delivery. Deliveries will only be accepted Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. (excluding holidays). K. All equipment shall be new and unused, and of the manufacturer s current production model. The equipment shall have full dealer preparation and be ready for service when delivered. L. The completed unit(s) shall meet all of the specifications outlined in the Technical Provisions of this specification. M. Any use of brand names in this specification is to establish minimum specifications and quality. If another product is to be used by the vendor in meeting these specifications, it must be identified in writing. The City of Tacoma reserves the right to make final approval of any alternative product. If alternative is not acceptable, the brand name product listed in the specification is to be used. N. The quantities listed are City of Tacoma s current approximate requirements. Tacoma will neither be obligated to nor restricted to these quantities.

4 Notice: The " and/or " question must be completed for each item. Failure to comply may result in disqualification of the bid. If additional space is required to fully explain bid exception(s), attach additional typed page(s) to the submitted bid and indicate the section number and sub-section that has the exception along with your explanation. 2 CHASSIS The specifications for the city owned chassis Tacoma Public Utilities, Fleet Services the vendor will supply are as follows: A. The chassis will be a new model International 7600 (SF667) 6x4 regular cab chassis. B. The cab will be painted International Omaha Orange. C. The chassis Cab to axle (CA) measurement will be minimum. D. The chassis will have a clear Cab to Axle (CA) above and below the frame to provide clearance for all emissions and auxiliary equipment. E. The minimum diesel fuel tank capacity will be 70 gallons, constructed out of aluminum. F. The chassis Axle to Frame (AF) measurement will be 114 minimum. G. The wheelbase measurement (WB) measurement will be 219 minimum. H. The chassis GVWR will be 60,000 minimum. I. The Front Axle GAWR will be 20,000 lbs. minimum. J. The Rear Tandem Axles GAWR will be 40,000 lbs. minimum. K. The tandem rear suspension will be a Hendrickson RT-403 Walking Beam type with rubber center bushings. L. The frame rails will be heat treated alloy steel with 2.4M PSI yield strength. M. The chassis will come equipped with Orange 3-Point lap and shoulder type seat belts.

5 N. The chassis will come equipped with an International N13 engine with RPM and 1450 lb-ft 1000 RPM, 2100 RPM Governed Speed that meets EPA 2010 Diesel Emissions standards using DEF to accomplish this. O. The chassis will come equipped with an Allison 4000RDS On/Off Hwy, Close Ratio 6-Speed Automatic Transmission with 4th Generation Controls, with Double Overdrive and PTO provisions. NOTE: The transmission will also be programmed with the Force to Neutral function when the park brake is engaged and/or the transmission is placed in a gear when the PTO is engaged. P. The chassis exhaust system will be located on the right side of the chassis, under the cab 3 DIAMOND LOGIC REQUIREMENTS Where applicable the successful bidder shall ensure that the following functionality is provided through the International Diamond Logic interface. It will be the successful bidder s responsibility to confirm the chassis is configured appropriately for the following requirements and if not, coordinate additional Diamond Logic functionality with the chassis vendor. Any additional costs will be incorporated in the bid proposal. A. The following International Diamond Logic requirements shall be coordinated and confirmed with Mr. Robert Murray at RCW International B. If equipped with a PTO, transmission must not go into forward or reverse gears when PTO is engaged. C. All accessory equipment switching will be accomplished using the Diamond Logic switch panel. D. All cab warning lights for mounted equipment, auxiliary lighting and accessories shall be provided through Diamond Logic functionality.

6 4 AERIAL DEVICE REQUIREMENTS AND GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS The successful bidder must supply, completely install and make ready for use a hydraulic-powered aerial device similar to a Versalift VO60. Successful bidder must meet or exceed below specifications. A. Must be a rear mounted, insulated non-over center aerial device with a minimum platform height of 61.2 Ft. B. Must have the ability to go over center for maintenance purposes only C. Working height must be no less than 66.2 ft. (920.2m). D. Must have a 120 degree articulating lower boom that provides a minimum of 46.2 ft. non-over center horizontal reach. E. Travel height must not exceed 13 ft. based on 41in frame height F. Must have a platform capacity of 600lbs G. The aerial device must have a minimum safety factor of 3 to 1 on all steel parts and 5 to 1 on any fiberglass components. H. It shall be the responsibility of the vendor to provide necessary subframe for the mounted equipment, which will be attached to the truck chassis. I. It shall be the responsibility of the vendor to supply all necessary parts, materials, labor, etc. to complete this unit. J. Based on a 41 frame height, the Platform working height shall be K. Weight of lift with standard sub-frame and Dual Radial Outriggers shall be 11,990 pounds. L. Hydraulic system operating pressure shall be 3,000 psi. Describe Bid Exceptions

7 M. Upper boom must travel 0 to 80 degrees (+/- 2 degrees) N Lower boom must travel 0 to 120 degrees (+/- 2 degrees) O Boom shall have 360 degrees of continuous rotation. P Upper Boom Insulation Gap must be Q Lower Boom Insulation Gap must be a minimum 24. R Aerial device shall be able to operate in ambient temperatures of -40 to 125 degrees Fahrenheit. S. Aerial device shall utilize non-lube, low maintenance bearings at all pivot points. Only the rotation bearing and rotation bearing gear teeth should require periodic lubrication. T. The vendor must provide and install electric shift PTO with neutral interlock so PTO cannot be engaged unless transmission selector is in neutral. Once park brake is applied transmission must be forced to neutral with no operator interaction. 5 PEDESTAL The successful bidder must supply, completely install and make ready for use a pedestal that meets or exceed below specifications. A. The pedestal must be 46 inch tall and fabricated of steel. The pedestal incorporates a 1.5 in thick top plate which is machined flat to support the rotation bearing. B. The height is measured from the top of the chassis frame to the top of the pedestal.

8 6 TURRET The successful bidder must supply, completely install and make ready for use a turret that meets or exceed below specifications. A. Wings must be made of fixture welded 3/4 in. high strength steel plate. B. The base plate must be machined flat to support the rotation bearing and gearbox. C. Must be 1.5 in. and turret base plate must be machined flat to support the rotation bearing. D. Must have bearing cover to prevent foreign material from interfering with lift rotation. E. Rotation must be continuous and unrestricted in either direction and must be accomplished by a hydraulically driven worm and spur gear acting on a shearball rotation bearing. F. Turret must use an eccentric ring gearbox mounting that allows for precise adjustments to the gearbox to pinion clearance G. All critical bolts holding the lift to the rotation bearing and the rotation bearing to the pedestal must be SAE grade 8 and torque seal marked to provide a quick means to inspect for loosening. 7 HYDRAULIC OIL RESERVOIR The successful bidder must supply, completely install and make ready for use a hydraulic oil reservoir that meets or exceed below specifications. A. Must be a minimum 30 gal square or rectangular reservoir, With that includes a return filter pressure gauge. B. Must mount in front of and be no wider than lift pedestal and allow for easy cargo access C. Size and capacity must be sufficient to continuously and efficiently operate lift or capstan. D. The hydraulic oil reservoir must include an anti-splash baffle. E. The hydraulic oil reservoir must include a sight gauge in order to quickly check fluid level.

9 8 HYDRAULIC SYSTEM The successful bidder must supply, completely install and make ready for use a hydraulic system that meets or exceed below specifications. A. Must be an open center hydraulic system that operates at 3000 psi that uses hydraulic oil (ISO 15). B. System flow must provide: 8 GPM at engine idle and 12 GPM when the throttle is advanced. C. The system must have a filter gauge with a color coded range used to monitor the condition of the return line filter for replacement. D. The system must have a suction screen inside the tank that has a 100 mesh (149 micron) rating and can be removed for cleaning. E. The system must have a gate valve located below the reservoir to prevent oil loss when the pump is serviced. F. The system must have a magnetic drain plug that is used to attract and collect metallic contamination from the oil. G. The system must have a pressure reducing valve that is used to limit the tool pressure. The pressure valve must be pre-set at 2000 PSI, but can have the ability to be adjusted to the desired tool pressure. H. The tool circuit must provide a 6 GPM at engine idle and 10 GPM with the throttle control engaged. 9 PLATFORM The successful bidder must supply, completely install and make ready for use an aerial platform that meets or exceed below specifications. A. The Minimum Platform Capacity with Jib shall be 600 pounds. B. The platform will be a two man fiberglass platform that is 24 in. x 48 in. x 42 in. with 3 sides toe space and an inside and outside step for easy access. C. The platform must be side mounted and hydraulically rotates 90 degrees to the end mount position.

10 D. The bidder must have a soft vinyl platform cover and include a ribbed rubber mat on the floor for each bucket provided at delivery E. There must be a platform rest that provides support during road travel. F. The vendor must supply two ea. spare buckets with rubber mats and vinyl platform covers. (Not two extra buckets per truck A total of two buckets with seven completed units) G. The platform must automatically level throughout the entire boom working range this must be accomplished by an enclosed parallelogram mechanical system using 3/4 in. diameter fiberglass leveling rods and No. 120 high strength roller chain. H. The fiberglass leveling rods must maintain the insulation gaps in all boom positions and be 100% tested at twice the rated load. I. There must not be cables used in this system. J. In the upper boom leveling must be accomplished by an enclosed parallelogram mechanical system. K. In the lower boom the leveling must be accomplished by a hydraulic master-slave arrangement that consist of a double acting hydraulic slave cylinder driven by a double acting hydraulic master cylinder. L. This system must include holding valves to lock the leveling in case of a hose failure and a relief valve to limit leveling system pressure. M. The unit must have a hydraulic platform tilt function that includes a lever at the platform and lower controls that tilts the platform for rescue or clean-out and is accomplished through use of the slave cylinder which drives the mechanical leveling system. N. The anchor for each lanyard must be attached to the platform support assembly.

11 10 HOSES AND FITTINGS The successful bidder must supply, completely install and make ready for use hose and fittings that meets or exceed below specifications. A. All high pressure hoses must be routed through the booms and must be nonconductive hoses with swaged hose end fittings and only reusable hose fittings can be installed. B. All hydraulic hoses on the aerial device must be Parker Brand hoses and fittings. They must be protected with Nylon sleeves, installed over any hoses that are located at points of movement. 11 UPPER BOOM The successful bidder must supply, completely install and make ready for use an upper boom that meets or exceed below specifications. A. The stacked upper boom must articulate to 80 degrees above horizontal (+/- 2 degrees) B. The upper boom articulation must be accomplished by a double acting hydraulic cylinder with two holding valves through a mechanical linkage. C. The upper boom must not use any cables and the must be able to be stowed in any sequence. D. In the event of a hydraulic failure, the integral holding valves must prevent the booms from dropping by locking the booms in position. E. The booms cylinder rod eye must be both threaded and welded F. When stowed, the cylinder rod must be retracted, protecting it from damage and corrosion. G. The rectangular upper boom must be constructed of high strength filamentwound epoxy resin fiberglass and have a gel coat with a high gloss durable urethane finish for added weather protection and water beading.

12 H. The fiberglass must be inserted into a steel weldment at the elbow end of the boom then adhesive is pumped in under pressure to fill all voids. After the adhesive cures, bolts are installed to assure maximum strength. I. The fiberglass boom must be certified for 46 KV and below in accordance with ANSI A92.2 Category C dielectric rating requirements. 12 LOWER BOOM ASSEMBLY The successful bidder must supply, completely install and make ready for use a lower boom that meets or exceed below specifications. A. The lower boom must be insulated by way of a chassis insulating system. B. The lower boom is designed and constructed from high strength steel plate that forms cross-section of high strength steel. C. Boom articulation must be 120 degrees, from horizontal to 30 degrees past vertical. D. Articulation of the boom must be achieved by using a double-acting hydraulic cylinder equipped with two integral holding valves. E. The lower boom must have a 2,500 lb. capacity lifting eye attachment near the knuckle end of the lower boom/compensation link. F. In the event of a hydraulic failure, there must be integral holding valves that prevent the booms from dropping by locking the booms in position. G. The cylinder rod eye must be both threaded and welded H. A high strength filament-wound epoxy resin fiberglass insert maintains a 24 in. insulation gap between the two steel sections. I. The steel and fiberglass sections must be bonded with pressure-injected adhesive, which fills all the voids. After the adhesive cures, bolts are installed to assure maximum strength.

13 J. There must be a stainless steel stud supplied at each end of the insert to shunt the chassis insulating system for electrical testing. K. The lower boom limit system must have a hydraulic diverter and relief valve that is designed to limit the down-force of the lower boom cradle when stowed. L. Vendor must fabricate and install boom rest and saddle with rubber boom protector. M. The boom rest must be installed on top of A-Frame outriggers with 2 shovel holders (one each side) fabricated from round stock/hoop flat bar and installed on boom rest support uprights. N. The bidder must furnish and install boom out of rest electric switch with red light indicator and label inside cab. Describe Bid Exceptions 13 BOOM CYLINDERS The successful bidder must supply, completely install and make ready for use boom cylinders that meets or exceed below specifications. A. All cylinders must be chrome-moly steel or hard chrome plated rods with renewable wear components B. All of the cylinders must be equipped with integral holding valves to prevent creep down and to lock the booms in position in case of hose failure. C. All cylinders must be equipped with the following: type AQ seals, nylon backup rings, non-metallic bearings on pistons and end glands, rod wiper rings, threaded and welded rod ends, and chrome plated rods.

14 14 UPPER & LOWER CONTROLS The successful bidder must supply, completely install and make ready for use upper and lower controls that meets or exceed below specifications. A. Upper control station must include full pressure single stick control including a safety trigger to prevent inadvertent operation and the lift movements must correspond with control lever movements. B. The upper control panel must be mounted between the boom and the platform. C. The upper control boom functions on the single stick control must be featherable by either moving the control handle or by feathering all boom movements with the enable trigger. D. Upper controls must have a dielectric isolating system with right hand single stick control. E. All control handles, including hydraulic tool circuit and material handling controls, must be isolated and Tested per ANSI F. The high resistive dielectric system must be protected from direct environmental and job related contamination. G. Bucket controls must have technology that incorporates the use of full hydraulic controls with durable metal handles and linkages. H. Stainless steel test lugs must be provided for periodic dielectric testing of entire platform control panel. I. The lower control panel must consists of individual control levers mounted on the turret which actuate the lower boom, upper boom, rotation, and winch. J. The lower controls must include an upper control over-ride emergency stop. The emergency stop must consist of an "Interlock" control and an engine start/stop switch. Operation of these functions must be at both the upper and lower control positions, via a captive air operated or fiberoptic system

15 K. K. The lower control valve must be a full pressure, full flow manual type valve. L. The start/stop system must be designed so that the lift cannot be operated normally unless the power switch is activated and the truck ignition is in the on position. M. Start/stop controls must be located at the upper and lower control stations N. The controls must have a two speed throttle advance controlled by an air cylinder at the upper controls and a toggle switch at the lower controls. O. The controls must have an automatic two speed throttle that automatically advances the engine idle speed when operating a boom function from the upper controls. P. The controls must include a toggle switch to manually advance the throttle from the lower controls. 15 MATERIAL HANDLING JIB The successful bidder must supply, completely install and make ready for use a material handling jib that meets or exceed below specifications. A. The material handling jid must be a 6.5 foot jib pole that hydraulically articulates from +90 to -35 degrees and the pole must hydraulically extend to 78 in three 18 increments. B. It must use a self-locking worm gearbox that hydraulically powers the winch, so a brake is not required. C. The winch must be rated at 2000 lbs. full drum. The winch must be able to lift 850 lb. minimum capacity with the upper boom in a horizontal position (0 degrees) and load radius from basket shaft is up to 2 feet without reducing platform rated capacity (600lbs). D. The winch must include 75 ft. of 9/16 diameter polyester rope with clevis hook. E. There must be a control valve for the winch at both the upper and lower controls. F. There must be a single phase lifting attachment with jib pole that attaches to the jib

16 16 EMERGENCY POWER The successful bidder must supply, completely install and make ready for use emergency power that meets or exceed below specifications. A. The emergency power system must have/be an auxiliary hydraulic pump designed to bring the booms down in case the main hydraulic source fails. B. The system must be a hydraulic pump driven by a DC motor powered by the truck s engine batteries. C. The system must be connected in parallel with the main pump and is designed for noncontinuous operation. D. The system must have an air cylinder at the upper controls used to energize this system. E. The system must provide operation of the aerial device through all motions from lowering to stowed position. F. The system must comply with all ANSI standards 17 HYDRAULIC TOOL CIRCUIT The successful bidder must supply, completely install and make ready for use hydraulic tool circuits that meets or exceed below specifications. A. There shall be a tool circuit located at the curbside rear tailshelf and the upper control station, designed for open center hydraulic tools. B. There must be a total of 2 hydraulic tool ports on the vehicle. One at the upper controls and one at the rear of the truck. One pressure and one return at both locations. C. The tool circuit provides minimum 6 GPM at engine idle and 10 GPM with the throttle control engaged. The tool pressure is 2000 PSI.

17 18 OUTRIGGERS The successful bidder must supply, completely install and make ready for use outriggers that meets or exceed below specifications. A. The auxiliary outriggers must be an A-frame design and constructed from high strength steel. B. At maximum extension the outriggers must provide 158 in. of spread and from 6 in. to11 in. of penetration based on a 41 in. Frame height. C. Must have two slide pads at each leg D. The standard pivot feet must swivel a minimum of 10 degrees each way. E. The main outriggers must be radial type and are designed and constructed from high-strength steel. F. The main outriggers must provide 11 in. of penetration, 168 in of spread based on a 41 in frame height. G. Outriggers must be equipped with pilot operated check valves, internal thermal relief valves, and separate operating controls for each outrigger. H. The full length sub-frame must be constructed of 3 x 6 rectangular tubing and 3/8 plate. Shear plates must be provided to attach to the vehicle chassis. I. The outriggers must be designed with down alarm sounds when outriggers are in motion. J. The outriggers must have interlocks designed to prevent the lift from being operated until the outriggers contact the ground K. The outriggers must be designed with integral microswitches. 19 LINE BODY The successful bidder must supply, completely install and make ready for use a line body that meets or exceed below specifications. A. A full length line body must be completely integrated into the aerial design and installed on the chassis. Describe Bid Exceptions

18 B. The line body dimensions shall be 210 Long and 94 Wide measured from the outside edges of the rub rails and will be 50 inches in height. C. Vendor must comply with the below specifications for line body: Compartment height 50 Compartment depth 18 Load space width 58 Top of body to the top of the floor 30 Horizontal compartment height - 26 No wheel well boxes 12 gauge hot rolled tread plate for the floor 6 Inch structural steel channel frame 16 gauge galvanneal main body material 13 gauge hot rolled tread plate Compartment tops must be 18 gauge galvanneal inner door panels 18 gauge galvanneal - outer door panels 5/16" stainless steel continuous rod for door hinge rod. Stainless steel - door hinge sockets. 14 gauge galvanneal - wheel panels 14 gauge galvanneal - front bulkhead 18 gauge galvanized shelving installed on Uni-Strut for infinite adjustment. All tread plate will be diamond type tread plate D. There must be 14 inches of clearance between cab & body for A-Frame outriggers.

19 E. The curbside of the line body must have steps installed after the curbside second vertical compartment with the following specifications: 24" Wide x 18" deep solid tread plate type steps Steps to have storage underneath with paddle latch and lift up with hinge at the top at cargo floor level. One full width cable access step under the side access steps. Two bolt-on chrome grab handles at the side access of the body (one each side) 20 STORAGE COMPARTMENTS The successful bidder must supply, completely install and make ready for use storage compartments that meets or exceed below specifications. A All storage compartments outer shells and shelving shall be constructed from 14 gauge galvanneal. B All storage compartments tops shall be constructed from 14 gauges hot rolled tread plate. C All inner & outer door panels shall be constructed from 18 gauge galvanneal. D All back panels must have at least one 3 wide full length recessed reinforcing channel that allows installation and protection of LED compartment lighting. E The doors shall utilize.3125 stainless steel rod continuously the entire length of the door. F. The door hinge sockets shall be constructed from stainless steel. G All comparts must have doors and must utilize compression t-handle door latches with 3 point cam (Eberhard Whale Tail #18400 or equivalent) H All compartment doors shall utilize automotive bulb type weather-stripping and must be weather proof (non-leaking)

20 I. All compartment doors shall utilize gas cylinder type door holders on vertically and horizontally hinged doors. (limited to 135 degrees travel maximum) J. All lift-up top box doors and lift-up style horizontal doors shall utilize gas cylinder type door holders (limited to 135 degrees travel maximum) that hold doors in the open position. K Must have rubber rolled crown type fenders. L. Streetside 1st Vertical: 42" Wide x 62" High x 18" Deep with barn style overlapping doors with rotary catch on inside door. One adjustable shelf installed on Unistrut 18" up from floor bottom One thru compartment in front extending to curbside starting at back wall, length to be full width of body with a partition at 19" from back compartment wall, 20" up from bottom of compartment, 42" to top of compartment, and 15" wide. Thru compartment to be vented for heated air to pass from streetside compartments to all curbside compartments. - Remaining compartment aft of compartment to have Uni-strut installed on back and side walls, 2" from top of compartment with 7 bolt-on/adjustable Uni-strut hooks. Vendor must furnish and install large capacity engine coolant heater, Red Dot (or equal), in bottom of compartment with capacity to warm all streetside and curbside compartments. A. Lighting and Accessories Must Include: Inverter 3500 watt mounted between seats in the cab. Three 12v charging ports to be mounted in a location TBD at prebuild meeting Duplex waterproof plugs installed at curbside rear tailshelf side panel and curbside front of service body. LED swivel base work lights installed on Manlift pedestal, high as possible below rotation one for rear of truck lighting, and one for cargo bed work light.

Lights will be installed in each recess door channel and two installed on each horizontal recess door channel storage compartment, including two installed on the "rope" storage compartment doors in cargo area. 21.A. LIGHTING & ELECTRICAL ACCESSORIES - CONTINUED A Lighting and Accessories Must Include: Rear clearance lights, 5 total (Truck-Lite Model #10050R L.E.D.) or equal mounted in rubber grommets, 3 centered, and 2 on the left and right rear corners, incorporated into the rear tailshelf. Flush mounted (Truck-Lite Model #44002R L.E.D.) combination stop, signal, and tail lights or equal mounted in rubber grommets, incorporated into the rear tailshelf. Backup lights (Truck-Lite Model #44041C L.E.D.) or equal mounted in rubber grommets, incorporated into the rear tailshelf, to the left and right of the directional warning light bar. Side clearance lights, 4 total (Truck-Lite Models #'s 10050R & 10050Y L.E.D.) or equal mounted in rubber grommets (or equal) in the rear side and front side of the service body/tailshelf as legally required. License plate light (Truck-Lite Model LED #15226) or equal with bracket and mounting studs towards the streetside on the rear tailshelf. Four-corner strobe amber light system installed on the front and rear of the vehicle. (Truck-lite 92696Y) or equal incorporated into the front grille of the chassis or surface mounted (at vendors discretion). Strobes mounted in rubber grommets (Truck-lite Super 44 LED or equivalent), incorporated into the left and right corners of the rear upper tailshelf. One forward (installed on the under edge of

30 the cab-guard) and one rearward facing (installed on the upper edge of the tailshelf) 21.A. LIGHTING & ELECTRICAL ACCESSORIES - CONTINUED A Lighting and Accessories Must Include: 8 lamp LED directional warning light bar (Federal Signal VPX Signal Master or equivalent) mounted on cab guard so as to have maximum visibility Two hard wired and permanently mounted spotlights with full 360 degree rotation (Go Light Model 2021 or equivalent) mounted on the left front and right rear of the vehicle cab guard (toward the outside of each strobe beacon). Each lights beam shall not be blocked and be able to provide 180 degrees of forward and rearward lighting. Two round LED strobe beacons (Federal Signal Ultra Star LED or equivalent) mounted on the left and right side of the vehicle towards the inside of each rotating spot light. Two permanently mounted swivel base LED spot lights mounted on the left and right side of the vehicle behind and under the cab guard. Furnish and install 4" LED flush mounted grommet light in curbside access steps area to light steps wired to compartment light switch Furnish and install backup camera with 5" screen mounted under center compartment in headliner. Camera screen must only activate when transmission is in reverse. Furnish and install a Maxxima work light model M on cab headliner between driver and passenger seats. Wired to ignition accessory mode.

31 22 CARGO BED ACCESSORIES The successful bidder must supply, completely install and make ready for use cargo bed accessories that meets or exceed below specifications. A. There must be a rope compartment installed that has is 42" Tall x 58" Wide x 28" deep custom rope compartment on front of service body between raised front compartments B. Must have two barn style door access from cargo bed C. Must be vented to other heated compartments for air flow D. Must have 3ea Uni-strut installed starting 2" below top of compartment top, front and side walls, with 18 ea. bolt-on hooks (9ea of the 3.5 x2 and 9ea 3.5 x5 ). E. There must be 2ea ½ x 3 bar stock (on edge) running the width of cargo bed. Mounting location to be determined at prepaint inspection. F. There must be a rubber goods Box compartment installed that is 94" wide x 42" deep x 16" tall box for rubber goods Must be installed over the raised front vertical compartments and rope compartment. Lid of this compartment must be built as designed with the provided CAD drawing and be able to open fully with boom in stowed position. Box must be water tight and vented to the lower compartments for heated air flow. G. Must have double opening 13GA tread plate doors that: Are 40" wide each side (to clear boom when open), Must have gas assist shocks, with one latch each door, and lockable with paddle latch Doors to be constructed so top of doors are 30 deep with a 53 degree break that extends to 6 above floor of compartment with gusset reinforcement as needed in the lid. Each door must have 2 loop handles and have a clear opening from the front at least 23 but no more than 24.

32 23 MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS The successful bidder must supply, completely install and make ready for use the below miscellaneous items that meets or exceed below specifications. A. Non-lube bearings must be used at all points of motion. Only the rotation gearbox and rotation bearing may require periodic lubrication. B. Cylinder pins must be high strength alloy steel and chrome plated for a hard finish and corrosion resistance and must be held in place with Torque Seal marked bolts at one end and a pin cap bolted to the other end C. Vendor must install slope indicators that indicate the level of the rotation bearing relative to the ground. D. Vendor must install an automatic boom latch that is designed to automatically restrain the upper boom in the cradle when stowed and automatically release the boom when the lift is operated. The latch must be actuated by a hydraulic cylinder and include a manual override to open the latch without hydraulic power. The latch shall not increase the stowed height of the booms. E. Vendor must design/install four wheel chock holders recessed into tandem fender panels, two each side and furnish four rubber wheel chocks that fit into the chock holders F. The vendor must provide material rails with the below specifications: Provide and Install 8' streetside and 10' curbside Slide-N-Lock cargo tie-down bars, location to be determined at prepaint inspection Provide 10ea. Slide-N-Lock tie-down loops. G The vendor must provide a cab guard with the below speculations: 94" Wide x 60" Long 1/2 cab style expanded metal/tube cab guard installed above cab of chassis. Manufactured so as to be integral with boom rest and does not bolt to cab. Painted to match cab. Install 10" x 15" x 14 gauge plates installed on top of expanded metal each corner of guard for strobe, spot lights, and radio antennas.

Vendor must fabricate and install on streetside top of cab guard a 2ea H-post style ladder rack from 1" square tub with locking tie-down Must have loops able to hold an 8ft ladder. T The H-posts must be bolted to corners of cab guard. I. Vendor must supply one hydraulic Capstan to be mounted on the front curbside of vehicle with the below specifications: Furnish and install Braden PCD-24B hydraulic capstan bumper package (no winch) Must have capstan drive shaft to curbside of vehicle. Tandem hydraulic pump to operate capstan, Hydraulic tank and oil capacity must be sufficient quantity to prevent oil from overheating. Furnish capstan reel and install capstan reel storage on curbside front outrigger. Must have two direction hydraulic levers thru top of bumper curbside with hinged lockout in neutral position. Must have engine 2 speed and engine start/stop switches mounted and switches must be protected in sealed metal box on curbside bumper near directional lever J. The vendor must follow the below specifications regarding painting: All metal surfaces both interior and exterior shall be smooth and free of pits, mill scale, rust and other harmful conditions. The aerial lift and cab guard must be prepared with a minimum of one coat epoxy primer paint

The vendor must follow the below specifications regarding painting: The final coating must be Depont Imron 5000 high solids type polyurethane enamel paint (International Omaha Orange) with hardener and color must match cab color Paint must be oven baked on all exposed surfaces. Thickness must be 6 mil or thicker The service body cargo floor, tailshelf, compartment, all top boxes and all stepping areas must have a non-skid rubberized permanent protective coating applied. Front bumper to be painted gloss black with non-skid coating applied to the top surface. Inside compartments and boxes must be finished in a durable white gloss color. L. Vendor must fabricate and install in front bumper: 2ea. 81/2 round cone holder holes spaced side by side and able to hold multiple heavy duty construction cones with cone facing downward One cargo compartment on street side bumper area that contours to the bumpers curve approximate size is 21 in length by 14 deep (pictures available on request) Bumper cargo compartment must be designed so that water will not build up in compartment Bumper cargo compartment will include solid lid with the ability to secure via paddle lock Mount fiberglass or rubber bumper location indicator poles on outer corners of bumper Install two recovery hooks to frame of vehicle and must be accessible from the front of vehicle Install a front license plate bracket. M. Vendor will supply 2ea Stanley ID07 drill wrenches.
