All SAS flights expedite cargo. Our A330, A340 and A321 carry pallets and containers. The rest of the fleet takes bulk-loaded cargo. The freight capacities shown in the tables are guidelines for each aircraft. However, they can vary, depending on the routing, number of passengers and weather conditions. More detailed information is available on sascargo.com. Freight is loaded on aircraft either by using (Unit Load Devices) or as loose cargo. s are used on larger aircraft where they are more efficient since they can be handled mechanically, while loose cargo is loaded in smaller aircraft and compartments. s can either be containers filled with packages or pallets that are built up. Both come in different dimensions, with measurements matched to specific aircraft models. 3
