2 LM Guide Actuator KR1 Miniature LM Guide + Miniature Ball Screw = One-piece Miniature Actuator Linear-motion guide rails and the ball screw are made of stainless steel to achieve a compact, highly rigid and precise LM actuator ideal for clean environments. Construction and Features Stainless steel construction The outer rail, inner block, ball screw, and balls are made of stainless steel and are sealed with ultra-low-dust AFF grease for clean environments. Minimal cross section The one-piece structure with guide rail on both sides of the inner block and a ball screw extending at the center of the inner block forms a highly rigid and precise, ultra-compact linear-motion actuator with only a 1 mm high, 30 mm wide cross section. Four-way equal load Two load-bearing ball trains are arranged on each side, constituting a double-row angular contact design. Since this design can bear equal rated loads in four directions (upward and downward and right and left), there are no restrictions on the mounting direction of the unit. Therefore, the guideway has high rigidity and fluctuations in frictional resistance due to fluctuating loads are minimized, achieving supreme feeding accuracy. Max. 0.8 Methods for evaluating accuracy grades must conform to THK Standards. The starting torque must be measured with THK AFF grease sealed in. (When high-viscosity grease such as vacuum grease is used, measurements may not meet the standards shown. Therefore, the motor to be used should be chosen carefully.) Lubrication To make the most of KR1's capabilities, lubrication is essential. Unlubricated use accelerates wear of the rolling elements, shortening the service life. As a general guideline, grease after approximately every 100 km of travel; however, since this depends on the working conditions, an initial check should be performed to determine the greasing interval. Recommended grease: AFF grease To grease via the greasing hole ( mm dia.) on the endplate, use the MG70 grease gun with the type P attachment. For a model with a cover, simply detach the cover to grease. (The guideline for the amount of grease is one shot (0.6 cm 3 ) by the MG70 grease gun.)
