3 Welcome to the World of Shelving Dear Customers, Dear Business Partners, Company histories begin with an idea, a person. he continuation and development are then no longer only dependent on the management or individual persons. o a greater degree it is especially also the employees and the team that enable successes and expansion. At the end of the 1950s my father, Rudolf Bohnacker, had the trend-setting idea of opening up the possibility for shop owners to present their goods optimally and in a varied way using a modular system, with simple means and without complicated assembly. Who could of imagined at that time that with this infectious idea he would trigger such a large demand that a company grew from his small business, which produces shopfitting articles in large series, and whose success finally led to founding of the present day egometall Group in With his guiding principles my father successfully guided the egometall company to the top of the shopfitters: ogether with all employees, seek success, high quality standards, fast delivery periods and by using innovative technology produce cost-effective products for our customers. At the time he followed these objectives with due regard to environmental standards that apply today. His particular commitment was to energy-efficient transport, which were by rail whenever possible. Resource-sparing use of water, electricity, air, packaging and raw materials, no use of toxic chemicals and paints in the company were, however, no less important to him. After almost half a century of egometall I also hold onto the guiding principles of my father and am proud to continue to remain true to our slogan egometall the fittings for every line of goods. hanks to their constructive ideas regarding new developments and trends, our service centres and shopfitting partners numbering more than 120 in the whole of Europe, make a decisive contribution to our success, for which we are very thankful. 4 he History of the egometall Group he first fabrication building is purchased in Krauchenwies. Start of production of quality products for shop fitouts egometall company founded 1968 In the 1980s the product range is extended to include storage systems. egometall designs the storage system shelving, in which the shopfitting elements can be integrated and has it patented. his means customers save costs and the design with combined use of shopfitting and storage system shelving is improved substantially. 1970s 1980s Expansion of the egometall shopfitting range. Installation of the first large powder coating plants. Expansion of the sales network with consultant engineers. Link to the international railway network. egometall transports both raw materials from the steep production regions as well as finished goods to customers. Krauchenwies Sauldorf 1990s Very large demand for products in the storage system range leads to the erection of a new factory in Sauldorf, in which the components for combined shelving for fitting out DIY stores, C&C stores and supermarkets as well as large areas are produced. he Krauchenwies factory is specialised in the production of equipment for sales rooms of the type shopfitting. he factory in Sauldorf is focussed on the production of warehousing and storage products. Further development of the very successful combined storage shelving to industrially useable storage system shelving. Installation of our own profiling plants. he profiles necessary for the storage system C-stands and traverse profiles can now be produced by us, tailormade in-house. Rudolf Bohnacker transfers the egometall Group to his son, Ulrich Bohnacker. he principles and values of the company founder are retained and safeguarded while at the same time introducing a new organisation he Group's international businesses are accountable to egometall International AG (Switzerland). Setting up fabrication in Kreuzlingen, Switzerland and a special large painting plant for powder coatings. In response to the sustained large demand for our products, a new factory for wire goods such as wire rear panels and wire articles is built in the Hungarian town of Bekescsaba Another new production factory for accessory components is opened in the Polish town of Pniewy. Customers in the eastern part of Europe and Russia can also be supplied from here.

5 he History of the egometall Group Construction of a second factory in Switzerland. here state-of-the-art laser and robot systems are used to produce individual products, custom-made items and new developments for the whole Group Opening of the first factory in China based in Kunshan, in the Shanghai region. his factory was also set up in response to the large demand in the Asian region. op priority is placed on ensuring that all quality and environmental standards for which egometall has become known are complied with in production and in the products. Acquisition of the Ablachtal railway line. As the railway line southwards from Krauchenwies was due to be closed by the German Bundesbahn, we decided to start up Eisenbahngesellschaft Ablachtal-Bahn GmbH and purchased the 41 kilometre railway section between Mengen and Stockach. his meant we could secure this line for future servicing of the factories in Krauchenwies and Sauldorf. In the following years the line was modernised with funds from the Ministry of ransport of Baden-Württemberg, and today it is also used for regional passenger transport Factory locomotives Original egometall quality 2007 akeover of the ALPOS OPREMA RGOVIN, d.o.o. company in Slovenia and opening of the third production location in Switzerland focussing on DecoCoat coatings. With a new, highly technological process, natural true-to-life patterns such as wood, stone and photographs can be applied on metal parts. Start up of two electroplating plants in Poland for zinc and chrome plating. Hooks and holders made of wire can now be electroplated and components for textile shops chrome-plated. Start up of our own coil slitter. Here coils with a total weight of up to 40 tonnes are slit for further processing on the profiling plants. Expansion of the warehouse, service and fabrication building in Great Britain. here, in an area of 6000 m² for 8000 pallets, goods for customers are stored and order picked. Installation of a powder coating plant for fast and cost-effective production of products in special colours and for customised production for the English market Opening of S.A.R.L. in Forbach, which serves as the warehouse and sales base for the French market. he company's own logistics centre in Krauchenwies 2015 Krauchenwies logistics centre oday approx. 800 employees worldwide work for the egometall Group. Continuous further development of our product range and large series production requires top technology extending throughout all areas, and which also fully takes into account environmental protection issues. When it comes to ecology we attach great importance to resource-sparing use of water, electricity, air, packaging and raw materials. But energy-efficient transport by rail is also important to us and the railways are used whenever possible. We use solvent-free powder paints in the whole paintshop. A mostly wastewater free surface coating technique is used. We completely do without the use of PVC films and sheeting. State-of-the-art technology and our many years of experience in all areas of shop fitting and storage technology guarantee our performance and are the reason for our market position. because the environment is close to our heart!
