It starts with the only dual injector setup in the 250F class, featuring a new downstream injector that s been revised for sharper throttle response and more low- to mid-range power. 16 2015 KX 250F LIGHTWEIGHT SUB-FRAME The tubes of the rear sub-frame feature thinner walls that reduce weight by 50 grams without sacrificing strength or handling competence. Lighter axles save unsprung weight by approximately one ounce each to improve suspension response.

It provides easy suspension adjustability including a preload adjuster via the top of the fork. With a six-speed transmission, race-winning power is instantly delivered to the rider. 2 SUSPENSION Both the front and rear suspension can be easily adjusted to better suit each individual rider. The 36mm inverted cartridge forks with shim-stack-type valving feature 18-way adjustable compression damping while the Uni-Trak rear suspension has adjustable spring preload as well as 24-position compression and rebound damping. 2 3 BRAKES Braking into the corners has never been more effortless thanks to a 220mm petal brake rotor in the front and a 184mm petal brake rotor in the rear. 32 2015 KLX 140/140L POWER THAT S DOWN TO EARTH The KLX140 as well as the slightly larger, more robust KLX140L is the go-to off-road bike for an epically fun trail ride through your favorite backwoods. With a keyless, electric start and approachable power in a chassis that s lower to the ground, the KLX140/L has the capability to be ridden as hard as the KX bikes that inspired it.

33 FRAME The extremely rigid, KX-inspired high-tensile steel perimeter frame feels more stable on the gas while providing a light feel at the handlebars. A low 30.7-inch seat height on the KLX140 and 31.5-inch seat on the KLX140L feels just right. 2 WHEELS Connecting rubber to ground are durable and lightweight aluminum RK EXCEL rims. The KLX140L features 19-inch front and 16-inch rear rims, laced by spokes to strong, high-grade die-cast hubs that ride as good as they look. The KLX140 rides on smaller 17-inch front and 14-inch rear rims for a lower seat height and more nimble handling. 3 BRAKES The KLX 140/L has strong stopping power with a 220mm petal brake disc in the front that is gripped by a large-bore 27mm twin-piston caliper. The stiffer spring and firm damping rates on the longer rear shock help restrain the rear wheel through 5.2 inches of travel and lessen the chance of bottoming. 2 1 STARTER SYSTEM Starting the engine is as easy as the press of a start/stop switch within reachable distance on the left handlebar. A kick starter is nearby as backup, but the KLX110/L will only start in neutral. A screw-type throttle limiter can control speed during the learning process. 2 CLUTCH The standard KLX110 has a 4-speed transmission and a resilient centrifugal clutch to teach entry-level riders to shift without the distraction of operating a clutch lever.
